In Article IV, A TEACHER AND THE PROFESSION, to actively promote teaching as the
highest profession, educators must show genuine enthusiasm for and pride in their great job.
Every teacher is expected to uphold the highest academic standards, prepare themselves as
much as possible for a career in teaching, and perform at their absolute peak at all times while
doing their job. This refers to advanced education such as master's and doctoral degrees.
Additionally, this implies that instructors have a duty to address the demands of their profession,
such as participating in webinars, seminars, workshops, and training to advance their
knowledge and abilities. These abilities might be used in classroom settings.
In reviewing the Code of Ethics article IV, Teaching is a wonderful job that involves a
great degree of responsibility and obligation to pupils as both a teacher and a learner. Teachers
impart knowledge and encourage students to take important life steps while also inspiring and
motivating them. They keep trying to bolster students' self-esteem and direct them in the right
direction. In the topic or grades he oversees, a teacher has the authority and duty to decide on a
student's academic standing and promotion, and this decision must be made in accordance with
generally accepted evaluation and measurement criteria. The teachers concerned must react
immediately to complaints to make sure that the proper procedures are followed. A teacher
must also understand that the needs and interests of the students come first. This means
promoting fairness and respect to a variety of learners. In section 8, teachers may not use
corporal punishment on offenders or subtract points from their grades as punishment for
behaviors that are plainly not indicative of poor scholarship. This state that the teacher may not
use any punishment in which physical force is used and intended to cause some degree of pain
or discomfort. It is a violation of children's rights to respect for human dignity and physical
integrity.
A professional code of ethics for teachers outlines their fundamental duties to their
students and establishes their place in the lives of those students. Teachers must operate
impartially, honestly, and ethically in the classroom—whether it be online or in person—and in
their relationships with parents and coworkers.
