1.0 PURPOSE
1.1 The purpose of this method statement is to ensure that the CCTV system testing
and commissioning works for the telecom room and other related activities are
executed to a systematic manner. Works are inspected, conformance is verified
and documented. Safety requirements, related hazards and concerns on
environmental impact are analyzed and safety precautions are implemented
throughout the progress of the work.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This method statement shall outline the procedures to be followed in CCTV system
testing and commissioning for the Telecom Room.

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 Construction Manager is overall responsible for the project execution, quality and

5.2 Construction Manager is responsible for execution, quality, safety with
coordination with SE and ensure necessary resources to implement as per the
approved method statement, Job Hazards Analysis, and Activity Hazards
Analysis.
5.3 HSE Engineer will monitor and implement all HSE related issues. He shall
ensure that all necessary requirements regarding health, safety and environment
concerns are met and adhered to. The HSE Officer shall ensure that proper
permits and authority paper are available to all vehicles involve in the
operations. HSE Engineer will ensure adequate banks man is available with
each machinery works on the operation.
5.4 QA/QC Engineer shall ensure the work is carried out according to the
requirement of these method statements. He shall ensure that all ITP
requirements are met. The QA/QC Engineer must ensure that the materials
being used are in accordance with the project specifications and approved by
the COMPANY.
5.5 Site Engineer shall ensure that all works are carried out according to design and
approved shop drawings.
5.6 MEP coordinator shall verify all utilities are in placed and fixed as per approved
shop drawing

7.3 Ladder.
8.2.1 Prior to the commencement of any activities, the workforce will receive
an induction talk on the project site safety requirements. This induction
talk will include both activity safety issues, as well as general safety
requirements.
8.2.2 MEP Site engineer/supervisor will ensure that Personal Protective
Equipment is worn by site personnel at all times during construction
activities.
8.2.4 Falling Objects: Workers shall stand clear during lifting operations and
shall be equipped with proper personal protective equipment.
8.2.5 Adequate cool drinking water, shade, and salt water tablets will be in
place.

8.2.6 Equipment & Vehicles: Safety Belts shall always be used. All operators
shall be qualified and well-experienced. Banks man shall be present at all
times during equipment operation in excavation works.
9.0 PROCEDURE
1. Ensure all installation works are complete as per approved method statement for
installation of CCTV system. Also ensure that IT data network is ready and
commissioned.
2. Make sure all cables/wires for CCTV system has been tested for continuity.

8. Click “Manual Set” button on the IP Installer application and set the IP address of
the camera as per your own IT network plan.
10. Once the camera is discovered double click on it, web browser for the camera
will open “Live Monitoring View” screen will open. Go to setup then camera setup
then focus setup.
11. Adjust zoom and focus for the camera lens to the desired field of view
13. Check Synchronize with the time of PC define IP address of the related
communication server.
3. Create the site tree e.g. levels 02, level 3 or floor 1 etc

6. Define Camera name, CG, Site name, Device Type, Time zone, IP address.
7. Now click on the NVR configuration and define IP address of NVR, Video data
backup path, Retention period. Click ok.
9. Go to the device browser and right click on the IP camera then press discover.
H264 and MPEG profile of the camera will be discovered.
10. Now right click on IP camera and press edit. Select live video profile as H264 and
NVR profile as MPEG.
11. Open the Video Viewer from software i.e. Fusion toolbar. Drag the IP camera
from device browser and drop it into any pane. Live video of camera will be
displayed.
