• Darning needle for stitching and weaving in ends

You can get very creative with the color way of this hat by dc- double crochet
changing colors at different points of the hat.

Instructions
Create a mc.
Round 1: Ch 2, 10 dc in magic circle, join, pull tight.
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join. (20)
Round 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next, *2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next*, repeat around, join. (30)
Round 4: Ch 2, 2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 2 stitches, *2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next 2 stitches*, repeat
around, join. (40)
Round 5-6: Ch 2, 1 dc in each stitch around, join. (40) Round 7: Ch 3, skip first st, *dc in next, ch 1, skip
next st*, repeat around, dc in last st, join. (40)
Round 8: Ch 1, *hdc over ch 1 from previous round and into the skipped stitch from the previous round,
ch 1*, repeat around, ch 1 before joining. (40)
Round 9: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch 1 space around, join. (40)
Repeat rounds 7,8, and 9 until hat is approximately 5.5” long or desired length. Finish off. Weave in
ends.
