Day 1
The first day of School Based In-Service Training started at 8:00 AM held at LWCES
(B) Greenfield Extension.
The short opening program commenced with an Invocation, singing of the Philippine
National Anthem and Ligao City Hymn through audio-visual presentation.
Mrs. Lovelle R. Sodsod, Grade 3 adviser gave a thought for the day to motivate the
participants in the first day.
Mrs. Lourdes S. Morales gave her message through voice clip and played through
speakers. It motivates and encourage the teachers to bring the best education to
the learners despite pandemic.
Mrs. Imelda C. Murillo, grade 2 adviser and committee in the registration presented
the attendance of each grade level faculty.

Based on the Attendance Sheet, there were 4 teacher-participants and 1 school head
all present in the first day of training.
Mrs. Eva D. Quintano, school head welcomed everyone in her opening remarks and
enjoined the active participation of every teacher in the School-Based In-Service
Training to make use of the activity as an avenue to improve one’s skills and
capabilities by sharing their knowledge and ideas in the 5-day training.

[email protected] Ms. Connie O. Saunar gave the statement of purpose for the INSET and assure that
all of the participants will participate actively. After a while, she presented the topics
to be discussed by the resource speakers.
Mrs. Imelda C. Murillo introduced the first speaker for Day 1 Mrs. Eva D. Quintano,
for the topic- Rationale of Inset followed by the next Topic, The Review of the
Programs, Projects and Activities.
On the first topic The Rationale of INSET, the speaker gave questions to the teachers
to reflect before proceeding to discussion proper. The questions are: How do I
perform as a teacher? How do I play as a team member? Are my contributions
enough to achieve the DepEd goals? These questions enlighten the teachers and
assess their performance and contributions by the length of their service in DepEd.
The teachers shared their answers in front and the speaker summarized the answers
and gave the conclusion.
For topic 2, Review of the PPA’s updates Mrs. Eva D. Quintano, School Head
discussed the updates with the teachers about the enrolment, least mastered
competencies, Interventions, Assessment Method, SMEA, SBFP & Health Status, and
Preparation for the Face-to-face implementation.
Day 2
On day 2, we started with a prayer through AVP, Checking of attendance, energizer
and thought for the day with Ma’am Shermin C. Romano, Grade One adviser, MOL.
Mrs. Eva D. Quintano Introduced the Resource Speaker Ma’am Krizzia Pedrajeta on
the first topic, Re Orientation of the Basic Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
On the topic, Re-Orientation of Basic Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, Ms.
Krizzia Mae Pedrajeta, Teacher –III of LWCES (B) was discussed the objectives on the
basic of Google Workspace, WORD, EXCEL, SHEET, FORM, MEET etc. followed by the
hands-on activity. The presenter starts on time and cited the importance of different
apps on google and how to use it on submitting files during this pandemic. The topic
was timely relevant and from the hands-on activity, teachers gave feedback and all
of them said it was easy to learn when hands-on. The presenter assist all the
participants in learning new skills using google workspace and Microsoft 365 for
video lesson and applied it one by one. The participants enjoyed the session.
After the hands on activity, the speaker ask the participants some questions to clarify
something that needs to be answered. But instead, teachers gave comments and
feedback about what they learned on the topic and evaluated the resource speaker
afterwards.
The next topic was the 5S of Good Housekeeping discussed by Mrs. Eva D.
Quintano, she gave first an activity before she presented her topic.

[email protected] The most important learning in this session was teaches the teachers on how to
become organized at home, in school and in the classroom and the benefits if they
practice the 5s which are the SORT, SET IN ORDER, SHINE, STANDARDIZE, and
SUSTAIN. Reduction of waste to save time and effort and also increase productivity
and improved safety. The second day of INSET was productive and full of learnings as
the two speakers presented their topic clearly. The teachers evaluated the speakers
after the discussion.
Day 3

The 3 day started with a prayer, thought for the day, checking of attendance and
energizer with the MOL of the day Mrs. Imelda C. Murillo.
Mrs. Eva D. Quintano introduced the speaker for the Day 3 topic.
The first topic in Day 3 was discussed by Jose P. Gamas Jr. Head Teacher III of
Cabarian Elementary School. His topic was, Empowering Teachers with the
Strategies to Manage Challenges in the New Normal. The speaker presented his
topic through Google Meet and shared many effective strategies that teachers might
apply and practice during distance learning. The teachers learned that in this new
normal they have to be flexible and must learn new things in order to adapt in this
current situation. The speaker presented his topic on time and end on time. After the
discussion, the participants evaluated the presenter and the topic they also
answered the reflection through Google forms.
Day 4
The 4th day started with a prayer, thought for the day, checking of attendance and
energizer.
The speaker introduced by the MOL of the day Mrs. Lovelle R. Sodsod, Grade 3
adviser.
On the topic Strategies for Supporting Reading and Language Learners- CRLA
Results, Ms. Connie O. Saunar cited different reading strategies to address the
struggling readers based from the CRLA Results. The topic started with the activities
sharing experience and situation on what strategies used by the seasoned teachers
and how they use it. Examples are, using pictures, songs, nursery rhymes and
teaching the beginning sound with pictures are the most common yet effective
strategies in teaching reaing. They also add some useful strategies for beginning
reading after the discussion. They also made an action plan for CRLA to support
reading and language learners. They presented the output after wards and evaluated
the speaker followed by the awarding of certificates to the spaeaker.
Mrs. Lourdes S. Morales, PSDS of District 9 visited LWCES (B) Greenfield extension.
Monitored the activities, gave technical assistance to the teachers and evaluated
also the activity conducted in Greenfield Extension.

The 5th Day INSET Closing Program was facilitated by Ms. Connie O. Saunar. The
program started with thanksgiving prayer led by Mrs. Eva D. Quintano, School Head
of LWCES (B) Greenfield Extension, Challenge and Acceptance of Challenge by the
representative Mrs. Shermin C. Romano.
After the short closing program, we proceed to the last activity which were making
of intervention materials for struggling readers and in the afternoon after the
workshop, Presentation of Output was done.
Awarding of Certificates to the participants and closing remarks. All teachers helped
in restoration.

The first day of the School-Based INSET started with the Opening program led by Mrs. Imelda C. Murillo,
followed by the Rationale of INSET and discussion by the school head Mrs. Eva D. Quintano.
This activity gave us opportunity to assess ourselves as teachers during this pandemic by citing the
contributions as a professional and individual or in team in attaining DepEd goals.

We continued our activity on the third day with a short prayer, checking of attendance, then proceed to the
discussion of the topic Empowering Teachers with Strategies in the new normal.
Sir Jose P. Gamas Jr. gave teachers useful strategies that teachers will apply in this new normal situation.
After the discussion, participants evaluated the resource speaker.

On the 4th day, we invited Ma’am Krizzia Mae Pedrajeta to discuss the Microsoft Office 365 and Google
Workspace.
Through hands-on activity, the participants learned a loat and enjoy the session. They are now using google
meet with background and other features. They also explore the different apps in Goggle Workspace.
Awarded the certificate of Recognition to Ms. Krizzia Pedrajeta.

We started the closing program with an opening prayer, Philippine national anthem and ligao city hymn.
Mrs. Eva D. Quintano gave a challenge and Mrs. Shermin Romano accepted the challenge.
Before proceeded to the closing remarks, the teachers presented their output by grade level. They also
made an action plan for CRLA Results.
We ended the training with the awarding of certificates and committing ourselves to excellence to better
serve the community.
