AKAHOSHI Combo Prechopper & AKAHOSHI Universal Prechopper

Intended for use on grades of nuclei with 1-2 hardness divided using Karate/Phaco Prechop technique, in which the nucleus
is prechopped into 4 or more sections before introducing the phaco handpiece. Harder nuclei or nuclei with weak ciliary
zonules should be prechopped very carefully and supported with a nucleus sustainer to reduce the stress on the ciliary
zonules. This technique reduces ultrasound time by minimizing the conventional grooving method. The movement of the
phaco tip is minimized and mechanical and thermal damage to the wound is reduced by dividing the nucleus beforehand.
Maximum opening of 3.0 mm at the site of incision.
