remember one Friday after

I noon as I roamed around

the streets of one
residential area in Pretoria ,
South Africa .It was indeed
a very hot day and working as sales
agent for a Fibre Internet Provider
company had been an interesting
and yet the most challenging of all
my working experiences.

You need the right attitude.

It was quite a hectic week for me
and hadn’t managed to convince the
required number of clients to sign
up for the service. Mind you it was
commision based job and my family
and I relied on this income for
survival.

I had been knocking several gates for

almost 2hours and getting
encouragements, apologies as well as
as receiving all sorts of insults through
necessarily part of the expectations on
the job.

I reached one well built house which

was about 50m away from the main
entrance gate.I am not so sure what
prompted me but I kept on knocking
for close to almost 10 minutes only
for an elderly lady to open up and
walk slowly towards me.

I only could smile as I waited.To cut

my long story short ,I didn’t manage
to sign any client for the day but from
the contact I got from that lady her son
signed for the service and he
recommended me to several more
clients.

From this experience I learnt basic

life principles that includes
persistence ,patience and
perseverance. Sometimes success comes slowly so don't dare pass
through your door of opportunity ,keep knocking.
