1. Describe the four goals of Human Resource Management.

Do you think some human

resource management goals are more important than others? Why, or why not?

 The four goals of human resource management are facilitating organizational

competitiveness, enhancing productivity and quality, complying with legal and social

obligations, and promoting individual growth and development. Enabling corporate

competitiveness is significant in a company because this is the organization's ability to

efficiently use its resources to offer products and services that exceed customer

expectations. Moreover, facilitating organizational competitiveness can fulfill the

company's purpose or mission. As well as enhancing productivity and quality is also

significant in an organization because productivity can help the firm increment and use

the capacity of the human resources it has. While enhancing quality can improve a

business prepared to adjust to changes in an industry, make the most of chances and keep

away from threats. While complying with legal and social obligations is also essential in

an organization because it is mandated for a business to comply with legal and social

responsibilities. After all, compliance is significant because it shapes a piece of the

organization's obligations regarding the local area it has a place within while building

trust. Lastly, promoting individual growth and development is also vital in a company. If

an organization exceeds all expectations to empower self-improvement and assist the

group with accomplishing its objectives, workers will see the company's devotion. It will

create a more positive, better, and helpful workplace and company culture, which will

irrefutably affect the company's primary concern.

The four-goal of human resource management are all vital in an organization; there is no more

essential to the four because they all complement each other. If one of them is missing, the goals

of human resource management will not be successful.

1. What is the importance of studying Human Resource Management?

According to Denisi and Griffin (2019), human resource management refers to the

comprehensive set of managerial activities and tasks concerned with attracting, developing, and

maintaining a qualified workforce—human resources—in ways that contribute to organizational

effectiveness. In the definition of Denisi and Griffin, we can say that studying human resource

management is essential. Since human resource management is about assessing the right

individual in an organization, it is vital to learn and study human resource management

thoroughly. Because it will help the human resource managers to effectively assess the relevant

candidates based on personal traits and critical skills required for the job to help the organization

achieve its purpose and mission. Moreover, studying human resource management will help

identify what to improve and enhance to the team that will benefit the organization—in addition,

studying human resource management can teach how to handle workplace conflict. Since

conflict and misunderstanding in a workplace are inevitable, HR needs to learn how to handle

and resolve the conflict within the company.
