L - Latin American music uses many styles and genres that all became a part of its development over time,
which mainly include Cumbia, Pasadoble, Tango, Cha-cha-cha, Bossa Nova, Reggae, Samba, and Rumba.
A - As being considered diverse, Latin-American music styles are syncretically fused elements from
different music cultures in Spanish, Portuguese, and french-speaking countries.
T - The music and dances of Latin American people played an important role not just in their culture but
also in other places like the United States.
I – In terms of popularity, Latin-American music is undoubtedly popular, not only because many people
employ the same musical styles they do but also because their music has been extensively used and
recognizable to people in many areas of the world.
N - Naturally lively, energetic, and rhythmical, Samba is one of the musical styles in Latin America, which is
known to be traced from Brazil and defined by music and dances.
A - A historically Jamaican musical style, Reggae, is a Latin American music genre that emerged from
styles such as ska and rocksteady and is marked by rhythm in 4/4 with missing beat emphasis.
M - Most popular during the 1950s and 1960s and usually performed in a natural, skillful way, Bossa
Nova is a Brazilian music style developed from the combination of samba and cool jazz.
E - Natively from Colombia and Panama, Cumbia is one of the most popular Latin-American styles,
which is characterized by dances for courtship.
R - Rumba, being danced with a basic pattern that most Latin-American people enjoy, may be
associated with Afro-Cuban music and usually presented in occasions and contests.
I - Introduced by composer and violinist Enrique Jorrin and also being known for its origin, Cuba, Cha-
cha-cha is a style of dance in Latin-American Music that is usually defined as vibrant and playful in a
way that it creates a sense of fun and excitement for audiences.
C - Relatedly used to celebrate success and boast superiority of people with high perch, Tango is a
Latin-American dance that can be performed in many styles and where improvisations are also
common.
A - A dance for couples, Pasodoble, is a Latin-American music style based on Spanish bullfights and is
characterized by sharp, fast movements, making it dramatic and lively in a manner.
