Emergency Preparedness Procedure

SEVERE WEATHER/TYPHOON

I. If You Hear Weather Radio Broadcast

1. Alert all building occupants of the impending weather.


2. Move quickly to a safe area indoors. This should be interior hallways, a
basement or bathrooms.
3. Close all doors as you leave the area. Especially ones leading to exterior rooms.
4. Stay away from windows, doors and exteriors walls.
5. When moving to lower levels, remember to use the stairwells, as the elevators
are not for use during emergency situations.
6. DO NOT go outdoors or attempt to out run the storm.
7. Monitor local radio stations for weather updates.
8. Notify Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation at hotline 161 in the event that
someone is injured or the building damaged caused by the weather.

II. If You Are Outdoors

1. Go quickly inside of a sturdy building.


2. Stay away from possible hazards (power lines, traffic, trees, etc.)
3. Assume a fatal position and cover your head.
4. Wait for the bad weather to subside.

III. In Case of Typhoon

1. Stay indoors and KEEP CALM


2. Communication team monitor radio reports
3. Secure all equipment and machines.

4. Trim trees near dwellings.
5. Keep road clear for emergency vehicles.
6. Keep canals and pit clean
7. Emergency kits always ready like flashlight and medicines.
8. In case of flooding, turn off the main sources of electricity, gas and water.
9. Do not operate any electrical equipment during a flood.
10. Do not use gas or electrical appliances that have been flooded.
