1. A videoke machine can be rented for ₱1000 for three days, but for the fourth day onwards, an additional cost of ₱400 per
day is added.
a. Represent the cost of renting a videoke machine as a piecewise function of the number of days it is rented.

b. How much does it cost to rent for 4 days? Write your conclusion.

c. How much does it cost to rent for 7 days? Write your conclusion.

2. Your favorite dog groomer charges according to your dog’s weight. If your dog is 15 pounds and under, the groomer
charges ₱300. If your dog is between 15 and up to 40 pounds, she charges ₱500. If your dog is over 40 pounds, she
charges ₱500 plus an additional of ₱2.00 for each pound.
a. Write a piecewise function that describes what your dog groomer charges.

b. What would the groomer charge if your dog weighs 60 pounds?
