Title: HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Introduction
We decided to base our project on a Hotel Management System mainly because even though we
have come from some of the ‘best’ hotel in Pakistan, their organization and management still
lags far behind when compared to similar Hotel abroad. In this era of technology, not having a
computerized system not only wastes time but also burden the staff of these organizations
unnecessarily.
When we analyze the situation we realized that the aversion to buying some of the brilliant
software’s providing hotel management system being sold online by foreign companies was not
because of the staff training issue but was largely due to cost, difference of hotel system and the
risk factor associated with the implementation and running of such software.
Objectives
We want to produces a very simple, basic, user-friendly and closet to the standard Pakistan
hoteling system kind of a model. For Example, the rooms in all the Hotels do not have a
computer-based record system for handling Guests, this is not only makes finding rooms for
guests a hassle but also takes long time.
Once we have completed our project we should want to present this system to our Hotels, so they
can benefits from the numerous advantages of technology (time-saving, efficient, faster
processing, less chance of loss etc.) and also improve their overall management and image.
Purpose
To create environmental friendly system.
To increase the financial benefits.
List of Deliverables
At the end of the report the team will be able:
To apply this system into the market.
To maintain the scope of this system into the market.

Scope
Hotel Management System is going to implemented and will automate the major operations of
the Hotel. The Room Management System is for manage all room types room services.
Administration department will monitor all. There is eight user End Interface for HMS.
The automated Management System is to simplify the day to day processes of the Hotel. The
system will able to handle many services to take care of all customers in a quick manner. As a
solution to the large amount of file handling happening at hotel, this software will be used to
overcome those drawbacks. The system should be user appropriate, easy to use, provide easy
recovery of errors and have and overall end user high subjective satisfaction.
Flow of the Project
The designing and implementation of the Hotel Management System with gathering of
requirements and examine the background of the Hotel. Although the current system is manual
and file based one, we realize that the system we are going to build must give the solution for
wastages of time and space which affects the efficiency of the daily activities performed at the
hotel. We have decided to have prototyping model to develop a Hotel Management System. A
prototype is built with basic and critical attributes. The designers build the database, user
interface and developers build working functions. After the user evaluates the prototype he or
she suggests improvements. This loop continues until the user is satisfied.
