Statement of Purpose

NAME: - Megha Rathod.

UNIVERSITY NAME: - UNIVERSITY OF SURREY

COURSE: - MSC INTERNATIONAL EVENTS MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION:-

I am introducing myself as my name is Megha Parth Rathod from Gujarat,


India. I was born on 03-11-1999 and holding an Indian passport number
W4244384. I am an optimistic person who always looks at the brighter
side of things. I had done my secondary education in 2015 from the
Gujarat secondary Education Board. I completed my 12th from same board
with Arts in the year 2017 with 75%. After that I completed my Bachelor of
Arts from Veer narmad south Gujarat University with first Distinction in
2020. But while my study I realized the demand of Business degree.
Therefore I have decided to change my entire field of study from Arts to
tourism Business management. After completing my graduation I realize
that only study graduate pass out will be not work for make my future
bright therefore I need to polish my skills and need to add a Master degree
from reputed University.

I investigated about the Universities offering Tourism management course


in India. There is a huge competition with very few seats to be filled. That
is the main contrast between the Indian education system and the
overseas education system. India focuses more on Theoretical
qualification rather than a practical and creative approach. But overseas
education gives the platform to be innovative and think freely. After lots of
research and guidance taken from education consultant I get a conclusion
to finalize abroad for my Master’s Degree.
After lots of net surfing and all reviews of consultant as well as my
relatives who are return from abroad and specially from UK they all are
suggested me only UK will be most affordable country for me to opt my
further study in compare to all other countries. I finally decided to choose
UK for my future study destination.

Why the UK over other countries?

Among the entirety of the choices offered, The United Kingdom appeared
to be the most fitted choice to me. UK has long training history which
makes concentrating there more significant. Its high scholarly norm and
thorough quality control guaranteed me of my future and vocation for a
long haul. An affirmed degree from the UK is perceived around the world.
Concentrating in UK is moderate when contrasted with different nations
like Australia and USA, and the training framework is additionally
refreshed and lined up with the business guidelines and necessities.
Likewise, UK offers an inviting climate for worldwide understudies.
Moderate living expenses, charming climate conditions, safe climate and
political soundness of the nation pulled in me to choose UK to seek after
my higher investigations. Likewise worldwide openness and direction of
the educators will add as far as anyone is concerned and experience.

Why I have chosen to study at University of surrey?


I searched for different universities in the UK that provide similar courses such as;
Middlesex University, Anglia Ruskin University, Swansea University, Coventry
University and so on. Among them, I chose to study at the University of Surrey
because of its affordable fee structure and great reputation for providing the best
education. This university has a multicultural environment in which students have the
opportunity to discover new customs and traditions. The university also has specialist
teams to help students with all aspects, from study skills and exam preparation to
career planning. The University offers and supports specialist advice on financial
matters, health and wellbeing, integration support, visas and much more. The
university provides all the facilities that are the best source of infotainment.
Reason to study MSc International Tourism Management:

I chose to study MSc international Tourism management because it has


business perspective. I chose to study BA Business Management because it
has a business perspective, such as business finance, business marketing
and corporate social responsibility. In Bachelor of Business Management
degree, global curriculum in terms of business, marketing, management,
sales and operations along with understanding the various facets of
leadership from an international perspective makes student understand
business in a different way and make students able to establish their own
business and handle it at a global level. Along with all these reasons; this
course will also develop my own area of expertise through the discussion
of various real-world case studies. This will also improve my ability to
analyze & synthesize complex issues. And it will also develop my ability to
think critically and communicate effectively. Also students with this degree
are more likely to work at International level.

Moreover, I feel that a degree in business management alone can help me


to achieve my career objectives. A degree in Business Management will
help me in upgrading my existing skills and will help me to learn new,
advanced skills like modern ways of advertising, marketing and sales
through ecommerce, consumer behavior, financial risk assessment, using
information technology to the advantage of my company, expanding
business and mergers and acquisitions, leadership abilities to lead from
the front and formulating business strategies and decision making.

So, I chose to study BA (HONS) Business Management for my further


studies.

CONCLUSION:-
Once I complete my Bachelor’s program I will return to India. I have my
family and I need to take care of them. Also, as India is fast developing
country and requires highly talented employees, which is also a very
strong reason I want to return back to my home country. Moreover, the
fast-developing economy requires candidates with holding international
degree and experienced of business profession. Besides, my family has a
good amount of assets like residential property with good market value
also gives me a reason to return to India.
