PILOT SEASON FIVE-YEAR SUMMARY [2017 – 2021]

PILOT SEASON 2020: 61 PILOTS / 22 ORDERED TO SERIES / 21 ROLLED

INTO NEXT SEASON BECAUSE OF PANDEMIC

“Following a development season marred by the ongoing battle between the

Writers Guild of America and the agencies over packaging fees and affiliated
studios, the broadcast networks continued a more prolonged development
season and are gearing up for the first pilot season without the latter. Many insiders
don't expect the feud to impact pilot pickups, though come May when series
orders are on the line, it's anyone's guess as to how the status quo may change.”

“Update, June 29: As the novel coronavirus pandemic completely upended pilot
season, the current status of each pilot is next to the title. We will update this story
as more information becomes available.”
