Web

The Web is a subset of the Internet that allows users to access information from web pages using a browser via hyperlinks. While many use the terms interchangeably, the Internet is the global network of servers that enables information sharing via the Web. Web 1.0, from 1989 to 2005, consisted of mostly static, read-only pages with a focus on content delivery. Web 2.0, beginning in 2005, featured more interactive and dynamic pages that allowed two-way conversations and user contributions through features like blogs and social media. Web 3.0 uses artificial intelligence to intelligently generate and distribute personalized content by interpreting information like humans. Web 4.0 connects all devices in real-time through wireless communication, using technologies like GPS

WEB

The Web is the common name for the World Wide Web, a subset of the Internet consisting of
the pages that can be accessed by a Web browser. Many people assume that the Web is the
same as the Internet, and use these terms interchangeably. However, the term Internet
actually refers to the global network of servers that makes the information sharing that
happens over the Web possible. So, although the Web does make up a large portion of the
Internet, but they are not one and same. Web pages are formatted in a language called
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). It this language that allows users to click through
pages on the Web via links. The Web uses HTTP protocol to transmit data and share
information. Browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are used
to access Web documents, or Web pages, which are connected via links. The Web is just one
of the ways that information is shared over the Internet; others include email, instant
messaging and File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
WEB 1.0
Web 1.0 was coined by Tim Berners-Lee as “read only” web. It is the first generation of
WWW and lasted between 1989 and 2005. Internet users were only reading information
presented to them. It was not as dynamic and interactive as the web we use now. The primary
aim of the websites was to make information public for anyone, and set up an online
presence. In other words, the focus was on content delivery rather than interaction and
production.
WEB 2.0
Web 2.0 is the name used to describe the second generation of the World Wide Web
(WWW). Web 2.0 has used features that are more interactive and dynamic, in contrast to the
previous version which was still static. The advantage of Web 2.0 is its ability to invite
people to collaborate with one another. You can do this by using blogging platforms,
community websites, social media and similar platforms. By using this Web 2.0, two-way
conversations can be made between website owners and website visitors. Another advantage
of the existence of Web 2.0 is that users do not need to have special skills in the field of
website programming. All technical matters have been made with an attractive and easy user
interface for users.
WEB 3.0
Web 3.0 also referred as Semantic Web or read-write-execute is the era (2010 and above)
which refers to the future of web. In this era computers can interpret information like humans
via Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Which help to intelligently generate and
distribute useful content tailored to a particular need of a user.

WEB 4.0
The next step is not realy a new version, but is a alternate version of what we already have.
Web needed to adapt to it’s mobile surroundings. Web 4.0 connects all devices in the real and
virtual world in real-time.Web 4 is “based on wireless communication (mobile devices or
computer) connecting people and objects whenever and wherever in the physical or virtual
world in real time” . The GPS which helps people to find their way is a good example for this
type. Permanent connectivity on Web 4.0 will have a huge impact on everyday life. The use
of new techniques in daily activities will result in a symbiosis between humans and machines.
We are increasingly implementing big data in virtual reality. The introduction of RFID tags
will not only allow connections between humans and machines, but also connections between
machines.

WEB 5.0
Web 5.0 is still progressing and does not complete its formation however, it is defined as
linked, emotive and symbolic web that communicates with humans. In addition, it is based on
emotional association with humans. It functions like a personal assistant. Technology and
human interaction becomes inseperable. Now, technology cannot understand how humans
feel however, there are already some startups like wefeelfine and emotiv that seek to explore
human emotion. In this way, they will pave the way for more personalized experince, which
will attract more people ever.
