Subject: Call for Proposal’s

The Department of Transportation: ATC Simulation

The department of Transportation- Federal Aviation Administration Research Grants is the funding agency for
this grant. The FAA encourages the submission of proposals that embrace the entire spectrum of physical,
chemical, biological, medical, psychological, mathematical, and engineering sciences. The following list
illustrates topics of interest to those who may consider applying for a grant under this funding opportunity:
Capacity and Air Traffic Control Technology, Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance. Aviation Weather,
Airports, Aircraft Safety Technology, Human Factors and Aviation Medicine, Systems Science/Operations
Research, Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Class E Upper Airspace
Traffic Management (ETM), and Urban Air Mobility (UAM). In general, award size ranges from several
thousand to several million dollars. I would propose a project that would allow aviators to research bias and
defects in ATC simulation technology development to identify the common failure to understand a diverse set
of voices (Female voices, people with accents, etc.) and create a voice recognition software that would be able
to maximize training quality for at least 90% of the workforce.

Department of State: Slovenian Cooperation

The US Department of State is the hosting agency for this grant. The Embassy continues to offer small grants
for well-conceived and managed projects that strengthen ties between the United States and Slovenia. Eligible
topics for projects are broadly defined to include democracy and human rights, environmental and energy
concerns, security and defense issues, and economic and business development.  Successful proposals will
strengthen understanding of the United States, including its society, politics, and values, and support a priority
theme listed below. New grantees with relevant, impactful proposals may be given preference over previous
grantees. For this grant period, additional consideration will be given to project proposals focusing on the
following themes: Regional and Transatlantic Cooperation, Economic Issues , International Security, Counter
Terrorism, and Defense Issues, Energy Security and Diversification, Environmental Issues , Digitalization,
Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence, Countering Corruption, Good Governance, Strengthening Rule of
Law, and Transparency, Independent Media and Investigative Journalism ,Human Rights, Education .The
maximum award is $10,000. I would propose a project that enhances Slovenia and the US through
international cooperation. Utilizing the U.S Embassy’s current relationship with the county, I would create a

sustainable project that would highlight the relationship between our countries utilizing media. Perhaps I would
highlight something like the response to human rights issues such as respect for diversity and inclusion to
include and how our nations cooperate on education of this topic.

Federal Aviation Administration: Indian Reservation Transportation

The hosting agency is the Federal Aviation Administration. As required by Federal public transportation law,
funds will be awarded competitively for any purpose eligible under FTA’s Formula Grants for Rural Areas
Program, including planning, capital, and operating assistance for tribal public transit services in rural areas.
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $8.75 million in competitive
grants for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Public Transportation on Indian Reservations (Tribal Transit) Program. I
would propose a project to develop environmentally sustainable transportation options available Indian
reservations throughout the nation.
