UoPeople now accepts cryptocurrency payments for courses and exam fees. The summary outlines the basic process for making crypto payments: 1. Set up a crypto wallet like Coinbase and convert funds to BTC or ETH due to price fluctuations. 2. Send payment to UoPeople's public address for BTC or ETH. 3. After sending payment, fill out a form with your student ID, email, course, transaction ID, date, address, coin type, amount in coin and USD. Crypto payments can be made for any English courses and exams but cannot be refunded back in cryptocurrency. UoPeople aims to be innovative and accessible by accepting cryptocurrency.

How to Make Your Payment

Set up a wallet on an online crypto platform, for example: Coinbase

Use a converter to discover how much you’ll need to pay in BIT or ETH since crypto
currency values can fluctuate daily

Send your payment to UoPeople’s Public Address, the address you use will depend on your
form of crypto currency:

Any student can pay using cryptocurrency, in the English Division and program.

• What can I pay for using cryptocurrency?

You can pay for any course and exam processing fees. No other fees can be paid using
cryptocurrency.

• What forms of cryptocurrency does UoPeople accept?

Students can pay using either Bitcoin (BTH) or Ethereum (ETH).

• Can I pay in the portal using cryptocurrency?

No, this is considered an “offline” payment.

• Can crypto currency payments be refunded?

- Payments made via cryptocurrency are not eligible for a refund in cryptocurrency.
- Should a refund be required in accordance with UoPeople refund policy, the refund will be
arranged via an alternative payment method.
