DATE TYPE OF TRAINING EVACUATION OF VESSEL

Following with req. of S.O.P. :

1. Evacuation procedures :
a) the order to evacuate the ship shall be passed by the Master to all hands. Time
permitting, all classified material will be secured prior to evacuating spaces.
b) Evacuation of the ship be by a route to be determined by the Master at the time of
the incident.
c) The evacuated individuals shall report to a “safe area” at least 300 feet away from
the threatened area as determined by the Master at the time of the incident.
d) The decision to keep mission essential personnel on station is at the discretion of
the Master.
e) The Master shall give authority to permit re-entry following a fruitless search.

2. Factors favoring a search before movement of personnel include the following:


a) there is a high incidence of hoax telephone threats.
b) Effective security arrangements have been established.
Information in the working is imprecise or incorrect.
c) The prevailing threat of terrorist activity is low.
d) Physical security in place (check of all incoming package, visitor escort) would
present the placement of the bomb.

3. Factors favoring movement of personnel before searching include the following:


a) the area is comparatively unprotected.
b) Information in the working is precise as to matter of location, description of device,
timing and motive for attack.
c) Prevailing threat of terrorist activity is high
d) A suspicious package or bomb looking device is discovered.
