Tanay Ghelani - Dead Poet Society - A Tribute To Neil Perry
Tanay Ghelani - Dead Poet Society - A Tribute To Neil Perry
A beloved friend and the person responsible for rekindling the Dead Poet Society, Neil Perry, is no
more, paying tribute to his jovial self and create a Eulogy in his honour. (a speech or piece of
writing that praises someone or something highly, especially a tribute to someone who has just died.)
You may want to consider adding his qualities, his journey, his struggles, and his friendship with
different characters in the movie.
You have creative freedom to include details from the movie however, it must fit the question’s
demands.
To begin with, I would like to thank all the people here to managed to come to this funeral. I
wholeheartedly appreciate the efforts. Thank you so much. I believe, Neil Perry would also
appreciate it. *cries and laughs*. Well, our friendship was not ordinary, it was exceptionally
unique, I would say. I know, I know, this line is very typical, but genuinely trust me, I meant it with
my heart and soul. He is my best friend, albeit I find another, whereas no one can replace him, in
case I find, Neil Perry would be always my favorite person.
I truly remember when we used to drink alcohol late in the night and when we used to smoke
cigarettes. Those were some immensely nostalgic moments I had with him. The day, I went to a
concert with him, and he drank too much, he didn’t even realize he peed his pants, I had to take
him to his home safely, which of course was my job in the first place *laughs*. Furthermore, I
remember him saying how badly he wanted a tesla in his life, well, his birthday is coming, I
ordered one as well. But now it seems like, it will be no longer of any use. I can’t drive the tesla
without Neil, if I do then that would be my biggest sin ever.
Neil was an extremely supportive friend. He never judged people, no matter how they behaved,
how they looked, he loved everyone. A fun fact about him is that he never used to like talking
behind back about people at all. Once I said “I like looking at my nose”, he didn’t laugh, instead,
he stated “Wow, it's lovely, man, people should be sometimes self-obsessed with people” Our
bond was unbreakable. He was being invited to a place where to always wanted to go, however,
the person who invited him had bullied me a lot in the past. He remembered the instances and
hence he didn’t go merely to show how loyal and faithful he can be which is a top-notch thing.
I remember the say, Neil introduced me to his lovely parents who are as supportive as he was.
Uncle-aunt and I started to develop a really great bond which was unbreakable just mine’s and
Neil’s bond. Uncle-Aunt loved me more than his son *laughs*. They were just like my second
parents, they treated me so well which I never can forget.
At the last, I would just like to say that, Neil if you are listening this, then just remember that your
best friend still loves you a lot. Our friendship physically might not be possible, however mentally
it shall be always there. I promise to keep your secrets with me. I promise the memories we
spent would be unpreishable. “I love you, man!”
Thank you so much.
