C. Motivation
Show a picture of some items (for school e.g., notebook, ballpens, markers etc.)
with corresponding prices (in decimals). Ask some pupils to choose what they would
like to buy from the items with a budget of Php100.00

D. Presentation:
List on the board the items and prices that the pupil chose.

E. Discussion
 How much will you pay for all the items you bought?
 Show the steps in adding the decimals.
 How much change will you get?
 Show the steps in subtracting the decimals.
 What will you do if you receive excess change from the amount/goods you
bought?

F. Developing Mastery:
Board Work. Perform the indicated operation.
1. 0.234 2. 0.3234
+ 0.503 + 0.23

3. 0.2134 4. 0.2039
+ 0.1102 - 0.0237
