6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with sub parts
of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Qs of 5 marks, 2 Qs of 3
marks and 2 Questions of 2 marks has been provided. An internal choice has been provided

32 A solid iron pole consists of a cylinder of height 220 cm and base diameter 24 cm, 5
which is surmounted by another cylinder of height 60 cm and radius 8 cm. Find
the mass of the pole, given that 1 cm3 of iron has approximately 8 gm mass. (Use
π = 3.14)
OR
A container opened at the top and made up of a metal sheet, is in the form of a
frustum of a cone of height 16 cm with radii of its lower and upper ends as 8 cm
and 20 cm respectively. Find the cost of milk which can completely fill the
container, at the rate of Rs. 50 per litre. Also find the cost of metal sheet used to
make the container, if it costs Rs.10 per 100 cm2.

Draw a circle of radius 2.5 cm. Take a point P outside the circle at a distance of 7
cm from the centre. Then construct a pair of tangents to the circle from point P.
34 A hemispherical depression is cut out from one face of a cubical wooden block 5
of edge 21 cm, such that the diameter of the hemisphere is equal to edge of the
cube. Determine the volume of the remaining block.
OR
A solid is in the shape of a cone surmounted on a hemisphere. The
radius of each of them being 3.5 cm and the total height of the
solid is 9.5 cm. Find the volume of the solid.

36 In a class the teacher asks every student to write an example of A.P. Two friends Geeta and
Madhuri writes their progressions as -5, -2, 1, 4, ... and 187, 184, 181,.... respectively. Now,
the teacher asks various students of the class the following questions on these two
progressions. Help students to find the answers of the questions.

There are two windows in a house. First window is at the height of 2 m above the
ground and other window is 4 m vertically above the lower window. Ankit and Radha
are sitting inside the two windows at points G and F respectively. At an instant, the
angles of elevation of a balloon from these windows are observed to be 60° and 30° as
