The accelerated procedure for skilled workers is possible for:

The prerequisite for the accelerated procedure for skilled workers is thepre-approvalthecompetent foreigners
authority in Germany(not Federal Employment Agency). This can only be requested by the employer. The fee to
be paid to the immigration office is €411.00 and includesNot the fees for the recognition and visa procedures. If
there is no prior approval, please note the other information sheets on employment.
Fast processing of applications can only be guaranteed if the documents are complete. Applicants who
submit incomplete visa applications or who do not submit all required documentation may experience delays.

Required documents
1) General documents
□ Passport (still valid for at least 3 months beyond the requested length of stay) as well as the last
existing old passport and copies of both passports (copies of all pages that are not empty)
□ 2 fully completed and personally signed application forms with instructions (signed separately). Please
fill out the application in the online mask at videx-national.diplo.de and print it out. Applications in
Arabic are available at www.kairo.diplo.de, but must still be completed in German or English.
□ 3 current passport photos, biometric-enabled

□ Proof of travel health insurance for the period from the start of the validity of the visa to the start of
employment in Germany (only to be presented when the entry visa is issued)

2) Evidence of the purpose of travel

completed abroad
□ Proof of language proficiency required for entry
□ For accompanying spouses and underage children: Marriage or birth certificate and proof

General information on the documents to be submitted
- All documents please inOriginal and with two copiesSubmit.
- All documents must be submitted in German or English or with a translation into German by a
translator recognized by the embassy. A translation is not necessary for English degrees.
- All Egyptian public documents must be presented in translated, certified and legalized form.

Important information about the visa process
▪ The Cairo Embassy is only responsible forApplicants residing in Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Syria.
▪ All applicants must appear in person to submit their application.
▪ Passports must be signed by the applicant.
▪ The processing time in the accelerated specialist procedure is usually up to three weeks after
submission of the preliminary approval. This period can be exceeded if further tests should be
necessary. Applicants will be contacted immediately after processing is complete.
