Revised edition no : 00
Date : 04 / 11 / 2020
Specific hazard during fire : The pressure in sealed container can increase under the
fighting influence of heat. Aqueous liquid does not present any parti
cular risk in event of a fire. Hazardous decomposition
products formed under fire condition. High concentrations of
toxic or harmful products in the residual liquid once the fire
has been extinguished
Extinguishing media : Use Carbon dioxide (CO2), dry chemical or water spray
and alcohol resistant aqueous film foaming foam (AR-
AFFF)
Fire/explosion hazard : If water is used to fight fire contain runoff, using dikes to
prevent contaminantion of water supplies. Dispose of fire
control water later
Fire-fighting equipment : Wear protective pressure self-contained breathing apparatus
with full clothing. Remain upwind. Avoid breathing smoke.
Hazardous combustion : Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and unburmed
products hydrocarbons (smoke)
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions : Wear appropriate protective gear for the solution
Environmental : Prevent material from entering public sewer system or any
precautions waterways. Do not flush to drain. Large spills to soil or
similar surfaces may necessitate removal of top soil. The
affected area should be removed and placed in an appropriate
container for disposal.
Method for containment : Dike spill using absorbent or impervious materials such as
earth sand or clay. Collect and contain contaminated
absorbent and dike material for disposal.
Methods for cleaning up : Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent
material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceus earth, vermiculite)
and place in container for disposal according to local/
national regulations
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety
practice. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame, no
smoking. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, splashes, formation of

products into drains and waterways due to the rupture of
containers or transfer system. Store in a dry place and/ or
closed container. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away
from open flames, hot surface and source of ignition, Do not
freeze
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Control parameter : Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit value
above their regulatory reporting threshold
Exposure Controls
Control measure : ▫ Effective exhaust ventilation system
▫ Ensure adequate ventilation
▫ Extract at emission point
▫ Ensure that extracted air can not be the workplace through
the ventilation system
▫ Avoid splashes
▫ Avoid formation of aerosol
Personal Protective Equipment
Eye/face Protection : Avoid contact with eyes. Goggles
Skin Protection : Rubber gloves. Wear protective gloves/clothing
Respiratory Protection: This should be achieved by a good general extraction and if
practically feasible by the use of a local exhaust ventilation.
Use a respirator with an approved filter if a risk assessment
indicates this necessary
