Static Network Settings

To set static network settings on an IP handset, disable DHCP and manually enter the IP address, netmask, gateway, and DNS settings. The IP handset address must be in the same subnet as the terminal it is connected to. The gateway is the terminal's IP address and the DNS is also the terminal IP address. An example configuration is provided with the terminal at 192.168.100.1/24 and the IP handset set to 192.168.100.10/24 with the gateway and DNS both set to the terminal IP of 192.168.100.1.

How to set-up the IP handset with static network settings.

Enter the Network settings in the IP handset.


Disable the DHCP.
Manually enter the IP, Netmask, Gateway, and DNS
IP must be in the same subnet as the terminal. Gateway is the terminal IP. DNS is the terminal IP.

Terminal: 192.168.100.1/24
IP handset: 192.168.100.10/24. Gateway: 192.168.100.1. DNS: 192.168.100.1
