the use
of t hem to their advantage
technology has elevated our lives from 1 to 10. It made communication and access to
information easier and faster compare before. Want to cook a new recipe? Search it up and then you’ll
have it right away unlike before that you need to ask for the actual recipe to cook. I witnessed how
technology evolved over the years. From phones limited to texts and calls only from phones with
cameras and other apps like radio and many more and back to the present where we can do almost
everything by using our phones. We connect with people from our community, to people we barely
know, to people with same interest with us and with people we met in the online community. I saw how
some teens overreact with the slightest inconvenience with their gadgets like a poor internet connection
or a device lagging. This proves that my generation became independent in the use of technology.
ICT in general played a vital role to make this all happen. Besides it wouldn’t be possible without
its advance innovations. Who would ever thought that online shopping would be possible? For an
instance, during this pandemic we were left with no other choice but to stay inside our house. Since
we’re not allowed to go out, we use our computers to communicate with our colleagues and continue to
work to make money. As a student, we learn through online classes and do the things we usually do at
school and still study despite the crisis that we are experiencing.
As a 21st century learner and a humanity student as well, I understand how crucial and beneficial
ICT is in our daily lives. As an aspiring journalist, information communications and technology brought
learning and communicating into a different kind of level. Isn’t it fascinating to know how media works?
How all these channels were aired at the same time from different places all around the Philippines. If I
came from the past, I’d probably say that what we have now is a complete magic.
With the use of your fingertips, you can access information right away without experiencing the
struggle of reading thick books to find the information you need. You can send messages and even call
your loved ones no matter how far they are from you, without paying for the call per minute and
without waiting for several months to get their message. With just a blink of an eye, there you have it.
No sweat! We owe those brilliant minds who made all of these possible. Without them, maybe we’re
still waiting for letters to come and maybe we can’t make essays like this.
