Performance Task 2.2

P and Pr have one electron each, with Pr having the larger atomic size. Od, Ri, and E are in the same series as P, C, and I, with P being the largest and C the smallest in atomic size, E is a metal and I is a non-metal, and Od is smaller than Ri. O has a larger atomic size than E in the same group, and Y is larger than C in the same group. R is more nonmetallic than Pe but more metallic than Ti.

Performance Task 2.2 Making Your Own Periodic Table

Make your own periodic table using the hypothetical elements that are given in the clues.
Explain the word/s that will be formed if you arrange the symbols of the elements correctly.
a. P and Pr both have one electron each. Pr has a bigger atomic size.
b. Od, Ri, and E are in the same series as P, C, and I. In terms of atomic size, P is the biggest
while C is the smallest. E is a metal while I is a non-metal. Od is smaller than Ri in atomic size.
c. O has a bigger atomic size than E in the same group. Y is also a bigger atom than C in the
same group. R is more nonmetallic than Pe but more metallic than Ti.

Periodic Property – Periodic properties are those that reappear at regular intervals or show
progressive alteration at regular intervals, and the phenomenon is known as periodicity of
elements. Atomic size, metallic character, non-metallic character, ionization energy, electron
affinity, and electronegativity are the periodic properties of elements.
