Discussion:
In this experiment the aim is to investigate current and voltage in a parallel circuit electric current is a
stream of charged particles, such as electrons or ions, moving through an electrical conductor or space.
Voltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes charged electrons (current)
through a conducting loop, enabling them to do work. In a series circuit, the same amount of current
flows through all the components placed in it. On the other hand, in parallel circuits, the components
are placed in parallel with each other due to which the circuit splits the current flow. An electrical
junction is a point or area where multiple conductors or semiconductors make physical contact.
Resistance is a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical circuit.
Sources of error:
The polarities being reversed in the circuit when the rheostat is pulled
The current and voltage loss due to the alligator clips not being a proper connective device
Precaution:
Conclusion:
In conclusion the investigation of current and voltage in a parallel circuit was concluded and results were
recorded and the resistance in each branch was determined.
