Once in a while, in the middle of an otherwise ordinary life, love bestows on us a fairy-tale, a
romance that is true and pure. I have never seen another couple as in love as these two people
here who have been married today and I am so honored to know and love them. Congratulations
to you both and to the beautiful future that lays ahead of you.

New Year’s Eve

Here's a toast to the future, a toast to the past, and a toast to our friends, far and near. The
past a bright dream; may our friends remain faithful and clear. May you live as long as
you want and never want as long as you live.

VALEDICTORIAN

A valedictory is a speech expressing farewell, as at a school graduation. The adjective

valedictory relates to saying good-bye, but almost always refers to a speech or address; this
speech is mainly used on occasions like graduations.

You can write an effective valedictorian speech by finding your theme, outlining big pointers to
support your theme. When delivering your speech remember that you are not only addressing the
audience but also you are addressing yourself as well, keep your speech at least 5-10 minutes
short and save your biggest message for the ending also remember to send out gratitude to
specials persons in your speech, these persons could be your parents, teachers, classmates,
principal, vice principals, ect.

CHARACTERISTICS:

1. Expresses a meaningful farewell.

2. Usually short.
3. Always addressed at graduation ceremonies.
4. Expresses thanks.

EXAMPLE:

Today we are throwing our caps in the air

Getting ready to go different ways
To tackle the world head on my friends
And to start on the very first phase
Of adult life with all it implies
No more running home to mum
But making her proud of the lives we lead
And showing our dads we’re not dumb.
So today as we sit in this great big hall
We’d like to give our thanks to you all
For being there when we needed you
Now it’s our turn to show what we do
I don’t know how or why or when
But goodbye my friends until we meet again
