Importance of Media Literacy
All media consumers need to possess the critical skill of
media literacy.
People who are media literate are better able to comprehend
public discourse, participate in it, and ultimately make wise
leadership election decisions.
A few key skills, such as willingness to try and the ability to
differentiate reactions, can help consumers become more
media literate.
There are many factors that can change how we interpret
media and how media affects us.
Regardless of their opinions on a subject, people who are
media literate can take a critical stance when deciphering
media messages.
When you have mastered the art of asking (and hopefully
responding ) two questions at once, it makes it easier to
move through a media-saturated world.
