Enhanced Security Password

Clear Memory in QuickPanel View / Control / +

Important Note: This procedure will clear the project from your HMI, preparing your HMI for a fresh download of the
project to your HMI.

When downloading a project to a QuickPanel View/Control HMI, files are left on the HMI that after repeated
downloads may interfere with View Runtime operation. This can be resolved by manually deleting files from the HMI.

Manual file deletion steps:

QuickPanel View / Control

If View Runtime is running – reboot HMI (start | programs | system | reboot | yes)
When HMI is powering up select ‘Don’t run Startup Programs’, this will result in the Desktop showing (and no
Runtime)

From HMI Taskbar click Start | Programs | Windows Explorer

Double click folder (to open) \Flash Storage\

Delete all files & folders – some folders cannot be deleted e.g. \Flash Storage\Documents and Settings & OS_Patches
(may or may not be present depending on version of CE on HMI – do not delete)

Return to root directory

Delete \fxViewRuntime\ directory (may or may not be present depending on Project)

Return to root directory

Double click folder (to open) \SRAM Storage\

Delete \fxViewRuntime\ directory

Close WINDOWS EXPLORER

Reboot panel

You have now removed files and folders - restart HMI and download
