Affair Guidelines No.

2023-3-2

PANAGTIGI KWATRO (SHS STRAND DAYS 2023): BASKETBALL

Registration. This competition is for GAS, HUMSS, ABM, STEM Senior High School students. All participants
must be a bona fide student of PHINMA Cagayan de Oro College.
The participant should have a passing grade of at least 75 across all subjects. For G12 Students, no grades
below 75 or INC/FA remarks on his or her grades from G11 1st Semester, G11 2nd Semester, and G12 1st
Semester. For G11 Students, no grades below 75 or INC/FA remarks on his or her grades from G11 1st
Semester.
For verification, participants should submit a photocopy of ID (AY 2022-2023), and grades reports for the
semesters mentioned above.

AG 1 Participants should have a passing grade of at least 75 for the 1st quarter across all subjects. If a participant is a
Grade 12 student, he/she should have settled his/her INC’s and/or failed marks, from Grade 11 to present,
before January 15 to the event head.
AG 2 For verification, together with registration form are the photocopies of the players’ ID (AY 2022-2023), Grade
Report (for Grade 12, include grade11 1st semester and 2nd semester grades) and 1x1 picture.
AG 3 Strand/s with no registration forms on the said deadline will be credited “no participation” in this event.
AG 4 Waiver must be submitted to the event committee one day before the event.
AG 5 Players will need to present their ID’s before the start of the match. Player’s with no ID’s will be forfeited in the
match.
AG 6 This is a group competition; each strand must have 15 players (1 TEAM MALE) to represent them.
AG 7 Players must only play for their designated strand team.
AG 8 Each team may only have fifteen (15) minutes allowance for delay. Causing delay after fifteen (15) minutes (e.g.
failure to arrive on the venue) shall forfeit such team from the particular game.
AG 9 Players should be a member or part of their respective strand. Usage of player from other strand will lead to
disqualification.
AG 10 Each team should have their captain ball to represent the team. Failure of following the scheduled time and date
of their game will lead to disqualification.
AG 11 The game will undergo round robin. Finals: 4 Wins vs 3 Wins shall play for the Championship while 2 Wins versus
1 win shall play for the 3rd Place. (In case of Tie, FIBA Rules shall apply)
AG 12 The first two games will apply Passarelle.
First five players: No.1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 must play in the first quarter.
No substitutions are allowed in the first quarter, except after 5 minutes (they can choose from one of the second
five players) or to replace a player who is injured, disqualified or has committed five fouls.

Second five players: No.6 and 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 must play in the second quarter.
No substitutions are allowed in the second quarter, except after 5 minutes (they can choose from one of the first
five players) or to replace a player who is injured, disqualified or has committed five fouls.

If a player is injured, disqualified or has committed five fouls in the first half, then the opposing coach may
choose, if they so wish, a replacement player from the reserves (No. 11 and 12 and 13 and 14 and If the team
has only 10 players then the replacement must come from the substitutes.

AG 13 Each team may commit 5 team fouls per half time. Exceeding fouls will result to penalty (free throw).
AG 14 Each player may commit a maximum of 5 personal fouls throughout the entire game.
AG 15 The game consists of 4 quarters, the 1st half and 2nd half; each half consists of 14 minutes of play with a
running time. Full Game with 4 quarters for the FINALS. Each team may request a maximum of three 2-minute
timeout per half.
AG 16 A 5-minute break is provided after the 1st half.
AG 17 Overtime with 5 minutes (running time) is required if both teams will commit a tie.
AG 18 Game Officials. The game will have the following officials: 2 Referees, 1 Scorer, 1 Timekeeper, 1 Announcer, 1
Recorder.
AG 19 In case of brawling and other physical assaults, the involved team will be automatically disqualified.
AG 20 The general rules of Basketball as prescribed by the Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA)
apply but would not override the provisions above.
