Fire Pump Acceptance Testing Criteria

The document provides an overview of the procedures and checklist for acceptance testing of a new fire pump system. It outlines pre-testing activities like verifying plans and certificates. It then details testing activities to check components like the pump, jockey pump, controller units, electric or diesel drivers, and low suction devices. Flow tests at various capacities including churn, rated, and peak are to be conducted while monitoring pressures, speeds, and engine parameters to ensure proper operation. Records are to be compared to factory curves and kept for the life of the system. Personnel from various organizations should be present to witness the testing.
