INTRODUCTION

Purpose of the internship

As a senior from Banking University, I am happy to have accomplished a three-month marketing

internship at Data V Tech, the leading consulting firm for Epicor ERP implementation in Vietnam.

Through the training, I wish to strengthen my English abilities, particularly in communicating

successfully with foreign partners and coworkers in the company's international offices. Additionally, I

want to get more practical knowledge about marketing, which is also the field that I wish to pursue in

further development. By working with professionals at Data V Tech, I believe I could grow a more

specific development strategy in this field after my graduation.

Significance of the internship

To me, internships are critical for fresh graduates and those just beginning their career paths. Firstly, an

internship is the training process that prepares individuals with the required information and abilities

for their job. Second, an internship will allow students to apply their classroom knowledge to real

situations while also acquiring new knowledge and professional experience that cannot be learned in

the classroom. With the advantages listed above, I believe internships are vital, so I always make the

most use of my time at Data V Tech.

My aim after the probation is to become a master in digital marketing and work for a multinational

corporation. To do this, I intend to continue studying extensive digital marketing courses and

strengthen my English skills after the internship. Specifically, I plan to enroll in classes to earn

certificates in advertising on Google and Facebook while gaining more experience in this field.

Additionally, I aim to participate in advanced English courses to prepare myself for the IELTS test

coming at the end of the year. I believe this is an appropriate and viable plan for me.

Data V Tech Solutions Company Limited was established in 2017. It is the leading firm in consulting,

implementing, customizing, and integrating multiple powerful business software, including Epicor ERP

and Epicor Advanced MES in Vietnam. Besides, Data V Tech also set up factories with machines,

additional hardware, and various complementary solutions to ensure seamless manufacturing and

business operations.

o E-Invoice: Data V Tech has significantly improved the process of integrating E-

invoices into ERP systems.

o Ultimate Field Service Mobile Application: a solution that enables businesses to use

their phones to execute maintenance activities when they are offline quickly.

o Magento eCommerce: a toolkit that allows businesses to communicate directly with

their dealers and customers, enabling clients to place orders online 24 hours a day and

instantly generating sales orders in real-time for Epicor ERP 10.

o NESTLink: a bi-directional, completely automated technology that connects the

Engineering; Sales & Marketing; and Administration, Human Resources & Accounting are the three

divisions that make up Data V Tech, which is led by Consulting Director Ms. Trinh Lan Phuong. The

CHAPTER II: INTERNSHIP PROCESS

At Data V Tech, I work as a marketing intern. The company allows me to work from home or wherever

I find inspiration for my work. Furthermore, the firm also builds a non-hierarchical working

environment that encourages each employee to be self-sufficient and innovative at work. Thanks to

that, I can freely develop and focus on my strengths. Here is a picture of one of my favorite

2.1. Assigned Tasks

2.1.1. Creating SEO content for company website

As an SEO writer, my job is to create articles with content such as answers, reviews, comments,

questions related to products that help optimize company pages on search engines, mainly on Google

search. To be more precise, I will create content in a suitable structure and diverse topics so that

Google Bot can crawl it (specifically keywords) and rank it on the top of the SERP. That means when a

user searches for that data (keyword), Google will bring my content to the user. This process will help

raise brand awareness, attract new customers, and reduce customer access costs. The picture below is

one of my articles on the company's website.

2.1.2. Creating content for blog posts

One of my responsibilities is to collect data on the market, products, competitors, and customers. Later

I brainstorm content ideas for the products and write them on the company blog. Unlike SEO articles,

blog posts are more personal, which is why I frequently write articles about sharing, analysis,

instruction, and criticism. As with SEO content, blogging fulfills the same general purpose of

increasing conversion rates (readers stay on the page longer) and assisting businesses in more

effectively building their brands.

2.1.3. Designing graphics for website and social media

My job is to design banner images and publications. Create design materials that are eye-catching,

lively, and effectively convey information to support SEO articles and blog posts. The materials and

pictures must not only be creative but also reflect the company's brand image. Therefore, most design

patterns will depend on the given brand toolkit. And for each post, I will create a different concept to

suit the manager's requirements and avoid boredom. The image below is one of my creations:

2.1.4. Researching the market

The company's upcoming plan is to focus on Mobile Field Service App (an add-on to the Epicor ERP).

Therefore, the mentor assigned me the job of finding information about competitors' products in the

market. Then, I will make an excel sheet comparing their product characteristics with the Mobile Field

Service App (MFSA) for supporting my mentor in coming up with a specific strategy for the promotion

plan of MFSA in 2022.

2.2. Methods during the Internship

2.2.1. Idea generation method

Everything from design to content creation requires a diverse range of ideas, which is why idea

generation is a necessary component of my workflow. After receiving the keywords from the mentor, I

begin searching for and reading pertinent information about competitors, customers, and reviews in

both Vietnamese and English via Google and internal company documents. Then generate specific

article topics and ideas for company posts and designs.

2.2.2. Outlining key points method

Outlining key points is an integral part of the content creation process for my articles on the company

website and the blog posts. The article's content must follow a specific structure for the optimization on

Google SERP. Thus, after choosing the topic and title for the writing, I will outline the main ideas

(headings) and the secondary ideas in the article (data, evidence, so on...) based on the given structure.

Then, I will assign it to my mentor and wait for her confirmation. Having a specific outline will assist

me in staying on topic and effectively disseminating the SEO article's keywords.

2.2.3. Technology adapting method

When it comes to creating images for blog posts and Data V Tech's websites, my mentor provides

design materials and instructs me on the proper size for social media platforms. I usually make use of

what is available or search for additional resources on Google. I then use design software such as

Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create images and content that align with the company's brand

toolkit.

2.2.4. Information processing method

When doing market research, I have to deal with a wide range of information. That's why information

processing is an integral part. First, I will search and gather information about the products of rival

companies. Next, I will create an excel sheet to categorize the data logically and understandably. Then,

I made comparison tables between the competitor's product and Data V Tech's. Finally, I will show

those comparison tables back to the mentor. The data processing will remove junk information, help to

make evaluations and marketing strategies for products more effective.

 Teamwork skill

Unlike in the classroom, teamwork is crucial in Data V Tech's working environment. To ensure that my

job runs smoothly and effectively, I must actively collaborate with other departments to deploy

appropriate strategies for each product from time to time. It helps me obtain valuable experience

integrating and connecting with the people in the company. Additionally, I learned more ways of

dealing with unexpected situations to avoid sparking tension with the rest of the office.

 Presentation skill

During my internship, I also learned a lot about presentation skills. The pressure of delivering a

presentation in classrooms is quite different from providing a report in front of colleagues in the office.

As a result, I learned a lot from the professional style of the company and the team members'

suggestions. Now I feel much more confident when speaking in front of a crowd.

 Language English skill

At work, In my workplace, English proficiency is the most commonly used skill set. I give

presentations…in English. When giving presentations, reviewing product brochures, generating

content for the company's website and social media, and connecting with departments, I must use it.

There are a few misunderstandings and errors in word usage now and then, but as a result, I am more

aware of my strengths and limitations, which I can work on to improve. Problem and how you solve

your problem?

Practical Knowledge give the name of this skill

During my time at Data V Tech, I gained a lot of experience, particularly in social media. Social media

requires a lot of creativity and skills, such as summarizing product information, creating content, and

designing images to attract potential customers and increase advertisement effectiveness. Thanks to the

guidance of the team members, I have learned how to use design software such as Photoshop, Canva,

Illustrator. Moreover, I can develop a creative mindset and a writing style suitable for the professional

layout of the company. These abilities, I believe, will be highly beneficial in my future job.

3.2. Recommendations

In my opinion, the company's present advertising methods are already reasonable, but the following

measures should be added to boost advertising effectiveness and the ability to reach target customers:

 Motion Graphic Video is a suitable form of advertising for the company's products, as Data V

Tech's products are pretty abstract, consisting primarily of software and technology. Motion

graphic video will make the product information more specific and easier to understand.

 Reach Campaign is a type of Facebook advertising campaign that increases reach and brand

awareness, allowing businesses to reach more customers, develop brands, and grow fan pages in

the long run.

 Storytelling is a method of creating content by telling stories. In my opinion, the content on the

company's current fan page is quite technical and dry, which reduces customer interaction. So,

storytelling would be a suitable form that can boost engagement and help the company build its

page in the long run.

CHAPTER IV: CONCLUSION

Advantages

During my internship time at work, I was described as a dynamic, hardworking, and well-organized

individual. I always accept all any tasks assigned by my mentor. , no matter how difficult or simple

they are, and try to finish them on time. My mentor also praises for my enthusiasm because I am

always prepared (what you mean?) to take on new tasks and respond to incoming mail at any time.

Disadvantages

Aside from the advantages listed above, I find myself to be relatively slow. Right from the very first

days, I felt overwhelmed by Data V Tech's dynamic and fast working environment. Moreover, there is

a lot of knowledge I do not know yet. Thanks to this internship, I now better understand my

shortcomings and try to improve them in the future.

In summary, my time at Data V Tech was a memorable and challenging experience for me. Thanks to

the company's members' helpful sharing and dedicated support, I have learned more about specialized

marketing knowledge as well as appealing technology products that I had never heard of before. In

addition, I learned valuable skills such as teamwork, presentation, and, most importantly, English.

These invaluable experiences, I believe, will have a significant impact on my future work.
