Math 103-Semi-Final Activity

This document contains 3 problems about calculating volumes of liquids in tanks. The first problem asks to find the volume of liquid in a tank given dimensions in centimeters. The second problem gives the radius and depth of gasoline in a spherical tank and asks for the volume. The third problem gives the capacity of a horizontal tank in liters and asks you to solve for the height of the gasoline in centimeters when given the tank's length, diameter, and capacity.

SEMI-FINAL ACTIVITY 1

1.] Find the volume of the liquid inside the tank as shown in the figure. All units
are in centimeters.

2.] A partially-filled spherical tank 5 m in radius contains gasoline 6. 5 m deep at

the middle. What is the volume of gasoline inside the tank?

3.] At 20 000 liters, solve for the height of the gasoline inside the gasoline tank, in
centimeters. The tank is positioned horizontally which has a length of 15 ft. and its
diameter is 4 ft.
