Guide to Dacia Media Nav Evolution Toolbox
You can update the map in your navigation system with the help of the Dacia Media Nav Toolbox. It is a
free-of-charge application that allows you to purchase, download, and install map updates on your navigation.
To do this, you will need:
• a USB flash drive
• broadband internet connection
• one of the supported operation systems, installed on your computer:
- Windows 7 or later
- OS X 10.10 or later
1. Synchronize the USB flash
drive with the Navigation
System
1. Insert a USB flash drive into Media
Nav system and turn on the head unit
2. Press the Navigation icon > Options
> Map Update > Options > Update
3. This will synchronize the system’s
navigation data with the USB flash
drive
4. Remove the USB flash drive from the
head unit.
2. Install Toolbox
1. Visit

and download the Toolbox for your
operating system (Windows or OSX)
2. After installation, start the Toolbox
3. Insert the USB flash drive which
contains the saved data of your
navigation device
4. The Toolbox will automatically
recognize the navigation data
5. Create your personal account by
providing:
• your name and a valid email
address
• your country of residence
• a password
Do not forget to tick the checkbox
for notifications about the latest
available maps!
3. Software (Operating System)
Update
The operating system (OS) of your
navigation occasionally needs to be
updated to improve functionality and
performance. The Toolbox will notify
you in case the update is mandatory.
1. Start Toolbox and insert the USB
flash drive which is synchronized with
your navigation system’s data (see
section 1.)

one free map update within 90 days of
vehicle delivery at the dealership. Do
not miss this opportunity and update
your system without delay.
1. After logging-in, you are directed to
[Free Updates] screen.
2. Click on [Install] to download and
install the available content
• The progress bars show the
Download and Installation progress.
Wait until the process finishes, a
message with successful installation
appears.
• If you click [Cancel], you can still
download the free update later from
[Free map update available] on the
HOME screen.
• If the [Free map update available]
button is not available, then you
have either already downloaded and
installed the update, or you are not
eligible for free update.
NOTE: The download process may
take longer depending on your
internet connection speed.
5. Upload the latest map
update to your Media Nav
navigation system
1. After downloading and installing
the latest map to the USB flash drive,
insert it again into the appropriate slot
in your Media Nav system and turn on
the head unit.
2. Press the Navigation icon > Options
> Map Update > Options > Update
3. This will synchronize the system’s
navigation data with the USB flash
drive.
4. Remove the USB flash drive from
the head unit.
Now your Navigation System is
up-to-date with the latest available
map content and ready-to-use.
6. Buy content
Before the first content purchase,
please do a software update of your
Media Nav Evolution multimedia
system. For detailed instruction, see
How to Guide, section 2.
1. Log-in to Toolbox and choose
[Buy Content] on the HOME screen
2. Select the map update/content by
clicking on it that you wish to buy.
3. Select the type of the map update/
content (single time update or
subscription for 1 or more years)
4. Place your order by clicking on
[Buy xx EUR].
5. Enter your invoicing data and click
on [Payment] (If you have already
purchased content in Toolbox, then
your address will be stored upfront.
Issued invoices cannot be modified,
therefore, carefully check your
information before proceeding to
payment.)
6. Read the Terms and Conditions of
Purchase and click on
[Send the order and pay]
7. Choose the type of your credit/debit
card and enter card information.

8. After your payment has been
processed, click on [Install]
9. After installation, eject the USB flash
drive, insert it into your vehicle’s head
unit and upload the map update to
your navigation system (see section
3. Navigation Data Synchronizing).
