After this lesson the pupils are expected to tell time by hour, half-hour and
quarter-hour using analog clock and writes time by hour, half-hour and
quarter-hour using analog clock.

b. Then, give the series below and let them write the missing number in
the box (oral, board work or group work).

What I know?

ACTIVITY: Clock Making

Hatiin sa dalawa ang klase, bigyan ng dalawang paper plate ang bawat
grupo at print-outs ng numbers 1-12, skipped counted numbers by 5, 5-60
at dalawang arrow na magsisilbing kamay ng orasan. Hayaan ang bawat
grupo na gumawa ng sarili nilang Analog Clock.

Itanong:
1. Ano ang inyong nabuo?
2. Saan natin ginagamit ang inyong nabuo?

Panoorin ang pagkukwento ni Teacher sa telebisyon.


Si Nanay
Si Nanay ay gumigising araw-araw tuwing ika 5:00 ng umaga. Nagluluto
siya ng almusal para sa mag-anak. Inihahanda niya ang mesa at
ginigising ang Tatay at ang kanilang mga anak. Kumakain sila ng agahan
sa ganap na ika 6:00. Pagkakain, inililigpit ni Nanay ang mesa at naglilinis
siya ng bahay. Natatapos sya sa ika-7:30. Namamalengke na siya sa
8:20. Pagdating sa palengke, naglalaba sya sa ika 10:40. Pagkatapos
kumain ng tanghalian, sa ika 1:00 ng hapon, namamahinga sya sandal.
Nagtitiklop naman sya ng mga tuyong damit na kanyang nilabhan sa ika
3:25 ng hapon. Sa ika-6:00 ng gabi, nagluluto at naghahanda naman sya
ng pagkain sa gabi. Natatapos ang araw ni Nanay ng 9:00 ng gabi.

HOTS QUESTIONS:
Napansin nyo ba ang mga numerong may salungguhit? Gamit ang
orasang inyong ginawa, ipakita ang mga oras na nabanggit sa kwento.
Ano ang sinasabi nito sa atin?
Ano ang sinasabi ng short hand ? Long hand?
Bakit mahalaga na matutunan natin ang sinasabi ng orasan?

Magpakita ng totoong analog clock. Itanong ang sumusunod:

Bakit mahalaga na matutunan natin ang sinasabi ng orasan?

Ipapanood ang inihandang video para makita ng mga bata.

Gamit ang isang mapa na may nakalagay na lokasyon ng bawat
bakanteng “clock face”, ipahanap sa mga bata ang mga orasan at isulat
ang oras na makikita nila sa bawat clock face o itama ang mga kamay
nito para magpakita ng oras na kanilang Nakita. Ang unang grupo na
makatapos ang panalo.
