Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (Accreditation with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC), is a Research-Based

About GNLU-SILVASSA Campus
In addition to its GNLU’s main Campus in Gandhinagar, GNLU also established additional Campus
(GNLU-SILVASSA) at Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNH &
DD) and admissions are open from the Academic Year, 2023-24. The DNH & DD is the fastest
growing Union Territory in India and are acquiring importance both at the national and international
level with the commencement of so many international projects across the UT. With the initiative of

the Hon’ble President of India and Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, this UT is turning into an
education hub, where many renowned institutes have opened their Campuses or plan to open their
Campuses in the near future. Apart from education, there has been multi-fold development in this
Union Territory in various sectors like entertainment, tourism, and trade; however, legal education
institutes are one of the crucial requirements for the holistic growth of the region since the law
graduates are going to play a very important role in the development of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli
and Daman and Diu Union Territory and it is crucial to establish a law school to offer quality legal
education in the Union Territory. GNLU-SILVASSA is commencing its Academic Progrmmes from
the Academic Year, 2023-24.
1. Courses Offered at GNLU for the Academic Year, 2023-24
Under-Graduate Law Degree Programme: GNLU offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons); B.Com.LL.B. (Hons);
B.Sc.LL.B. (Hons); B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons) and B.S.W.LL.B. (Hons) with a large variety of specializations to
choose for the Honours Degree Programme. Allocation of stream is done on the basis of merit-cum-
preference, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
Post-Graduate Law Degree Programme: GNLU offers four specializations at LL.M programme, namely
Corporate and Business Law; Constitutional and Administrative Law; Criminal and Security Law; and
Intellectual Property Law. Specializations is offered for a minimum of ten students.

Horizontal Reservation: In addition to the above-mentioned vertical reservation, horizontal reservation of
30% shall be made in favour of female candidates, 5% of seats for Specially Abled Persons/Persons with
Disability (PWD) category and 25% of seats shall be made in favour of candidates of Gujarat Domicile, cutting
across all the above categories (Non-compartmentalized), except EWS category.

1.3 Admission under NRI/FN/JK/NEI Categories
Apart from the allocation of seats for admission through CLAT, the admission under supernumerary seats
shall be filled by the GNLU on the basis of CLAT ranking. Interested candidates are required to fill-up
separate expression of interest form announced by GNLU. The separate notification shall be announced on
the GNLU website and direct admission will be undertaken on basis of applications received by the University
using the CLAT ranking. For detailed selection process, candidates are required to refer the notification. NRI
category seats are available to NRI candidates or Indian nationals sponsored by NRI as per the Supreme Court
Guidelines. Foreign National category seats are available to Foreign Nationals only i.e., candidates with foreign
citizenship. Candidates seeking admission under the Foreign National category are not required to appear in
the CLAT and shall apply directly to the University against the notification. Interested candidates are required
to refer the GNLU website for further more details. Unfilled Foreign National category (FN) seats shall be
offered to the candidates from NRI Category.
1.4 Admission under Sports Quota: The University has 4 Supernumerary Seats (2 for Boys & 2 for Girls)
under the Sports Quota. The candidates who are interested in seeking admission under the Sports Quota can
apply directly to the University and shall be required to fill-up separate expression of interest form. The
notification shall be announced on the GNLU website and the candidates are required to refer the notification
for detailed selection process.
2. Courses Offered at GNLU-SILVASSA from the Academic Year, 2023-24
GNLU-SILVASSA offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons) Under-Graduate programme and Post-Graduate Programme with
specialization in Constitutional & Administrative Law. In addition, GNLU-SILVASS also offers Ph.D. Programme
as per UGC Norms.

2.3 Admission of Domicile Category Seats by GNLU-SILVASSA for the Academic Year, 2023-24
In addition to the above-mentioned allotment of seats by CLAT Office as per point No.2.2, GNLU-
SILVASS also offers the following seats exclusively for domicile candidates of the Union Territory of Dadra
and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNH & DD), compartmentalized across all the vertically reserved
categories as per the seat matrix mentioned below. Admission to the following seats shall be governed/filled
by GNLU-SILVASSA only. Admission to the following seats shall be purely on the basis of CLAT ranking.
The domiciles of the DNH & DD are required to apply/fill-up separate application form against the
‘Admission Notification for Domicile Category seats for GNLU-SILVASSA’. The admission notification
shall be announced in the website (www.gnlus.ac.in & www.gnlu.ac.in) after declaration of results of the
CLAT Examination.

Important Note:
The NRI-UG Candidates are required to pay INR 1,38,000/- and tuition fees of USD 12,500 and PG Candidates are required
to pay INR 1,42,200/- and tuition fees of USD 6000. In addition, USD 2000 and USD 500 need to be paid by UG & PG
candidates respectively as one-time development charges. All fees and payable amounts shall be in accordance with the
Reserve Bank of India/Government of India guidelines. The above fee structure is only for the Academic year 2023-24 and is
subject to revision from time to time by the University and subject to change as per the decision of the Finance
Committee/Executive Council of the University.
