Ps 73:26

26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
1 Cor 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not
suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.

TITLE: BUT GOD

God makes all the difference! We have nothing whatsoever that can make us able. We have no direction.
All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. But God… But God!
Phil 2:25-27
25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and
fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me
also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Gen 48:21
21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the
land of your fathers.
Gen 50:20
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this
day, to save much people alive.
1 Sam 23:14
14 And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of
Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.
Ps 73:25-26
25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Jonah 4:5-7
5 So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat
under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow
over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.

He has not, does not and will not give up on us. But God.

A) There was a time when the whole world as in bondage to sin and death…
Gal 4:3-4
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the
law,
B) There was a time, we only deserve to die under the righteous and well-deserved wrath of God…
Rom 5:8
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
C) He died, but the issue wasn’t complete yet. How could a dead redeemer ever complete the work
He was sent to do?
Acts 13:30
30 But God raised him from the dead:
D) Our carnal nature will want to keep us still in bondage to sin.
Eph 2:4-6
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
E) Sometimes we are left without significance in this world.
1 Cor 1:27-31
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the
weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which
are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and
sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
F) We lacked in understanding of what may be in store for us
1 Cor 2:10
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep
things of God.
G) In the ministry we sometimes look at our limitations
1 Cor 3:6-7
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
H) Temptations/Trials always come our way
1 Cor 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not
suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.
I) God reminds us when we have victories
Gal 6:14
14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is
crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
J) People seek to be pleased
1Thes 2:4
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing
men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
k) There are times that we lack
Phil 4:19
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

l) There are times that we do not understand God, His dealings, His moves
1 Pet 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Rom 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose.
Heb 10:22-25
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil
conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one
another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Titus 2:12-3:1
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and
godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar
people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Heb 13:5-8
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath
said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith
follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
