Pattern is made for 0 - 6 months old. Changes for
Sole:
size 6- 12 months are in [ ]. Rnd 1- Ch11 [13] using “Blue Bonnet” yarn and
3.50mm hook, 2 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in
Finished Measurements (Sole Length) next 8 [10] sts, 5 hdc in next st.
0 - 6 month old – 9cm (Note: You are now going to be working on the
6 - 12 month old – 10cm opposite side of foundation chain.) 1 hdc in next 8
[10] sts. 3 hdc in last st. (26 [30] sts) Do not sl st in
1st hdc of this rnd.
Gauge: Rnd 2- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
4 rows x 5 stitches in hdc = 1 inch rnd. 2 hdc in next 2 sts. 1 hdc in next 8 [10] sts. 2

Ships Wheel:
Rnd 1- Ch2 using “Dark Red” yarn and 3.00mm
hook, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in 1st st of this
rnd. (8 sts)
Rnd 2- Ch4 (1st and 2nd ch counts as first dc). *1 dc
in next st, ch2. Repeat from the * 7 times. Join with
sl st in 2nd ch of 'ch4'.
Rnd 3- Ch3, sl st in same st. *2 sc in 'ch2' space, sl st
in dc, ch3, sl st in same dc. Repeat from the * 7
times. 2 sc in 'ch2' space. Sl st in 1 st st of this rnd.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Taking the tapestry needle, sew a “Ships Wheel” onto
the front of each bootie.
