Quick Installation Guidance


1. INTRODUCTION
The Pico Life DVD Maker is a video capture device specifically designed for capturing MPEG video
to your hard drive via a composite or s-video connection at a resolution of 720 x 576px. You can edit
DV/Digital 8 video, VCR, DVD and camera to burn VCD, SVCD, DVD, MPEG4, AVI formats directly.

2. Driver and Application Installation

Step1:Plug in the device using the USB connection. Windows will prompt “New Hardware
Device” was found. Please click “Cancel”.

Step2: Insert the CD. When inserted, Windows will guide you through the setup procedure. Click
“Driver Install” or if there is no prompt, run Drive\Setup.exe from the CD.

Step3: Click “Driver Install” on the installation menu for driver installation.

Step4: Click “Next” to continue the driver installation.

Step5: Click “Finish” to complete the driver installation.

Step6: Click “Software Install” on the installation menu for software installation.

Step7: Please make sure DirextX9.0 is installed before application installation. If not, the system
will prompt you to install it (only applicable to Windows XP)

Step8: Click “Yes” to continue “Windows Media Format 9” installation, and then click “OK” (only
applicable to Windows XP).

Step9: The system will restart once you click “Finish”.

Install Honestech VHS to DVD Editing Software.


Step10:Click “VHS to DVD” or run “VHS2DVD\Setup.exe” from the CD to install the editing
software. Choose your setup language .

Step11: Click “next” to continue installation.

Step12: Click “I accept…” to continue “VHS to DVD 3.0” installation.

Step 13: Click “Next” to select the installation components.

Step 14: Click “Next” to install the software.

Step 15: Click “Finish” to complete the installation of the Honestech VHS to DVD editing
software.

Step16: When the installation is complete, you’ll see the following icons on your desktop:

Step17: When finished, please open “Control Panel” on your system, select “System”,
select ”System Properties”, then select “Device Manager”. Check that the following neww device
driver has been installed:

Step17: You can get online help on how to use the software.
