The “G.O.A.

T”

Hello, my name is Darrell Farhan Haruny, people call me Darrel and in my prime, I am
the greatest basketball player of all time. I am 6’6”, I play the position of point guard and I was
drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers after finishing my high school career at South Cikarang State
High School and Duke University where I was the number 1 point guard in the United States and
projected to be the number 1 draft pick in 2020. I am the leading point scorer in basketball
history, with 41.385 points over the span of my 20-year career. I am an 8-time NBA MVP, 7-
time Finals MVP, and 10 times NBA Champion. In my prime, I was averaging 54 points, 12
assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block per game. Over the span of my career people always
compare me to other greats such as Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Kobe Bryant. My
Journey to becoming the “GOAT” wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows. I had to fight to get
where I am. I poured all my blood, sweat, and tears into perfecting my game and I trained all my
life to become the best. I model my game from the dribbling of Allen Iverson, Kyrie Irving, and
Chris Paul, I also model my shooting game from the greats of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan,
and for the assists, I try to mimic Jason Williams and Magic Johnson. To be honest I wish I
could’ve achieved more but with the way things stand as of now, I am satisfied since I know
there is only a small chance of anyone beating me and my records.

My legacy as the Greatest of All Time will never be undisputed, however, I was
challenged on one of my seasons where I was defeated near the end of my career. I was defeated
in the eastern conference finals facing the Detroit Pistons. I and my team lost the series 3 – 4 on
a lucky buzzer-beater from the three-point line. I was furious because I was fouled all game
throughout the series and the refs weren’t giving the proper calls. In the off-season, I encouraged
my teammates to train harder with me. My teammates happen to be my closest friends from back
home, such as Anthony Handoyo and Gabriel Prakosa who were the Small Forward and
Shooting Guard on my team. We trained all off-season to get revenge for our defeat the season
before.

In the next season, I put an all-time scoring achievement where I averaged 51 points, 15
assists, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. When it comes to the playoffs I defeated all my
opponents 4-0. It was a clean sweep against the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets. In the
eastern conference finals, I faced the Detroit Pistons once again where they brought the tenacity
and challenges of last year. But now I am prepared and ready to face those challenges. I defeated
the Detroit Pistons with a comfortable lead of 4-1 and when it comes to the finals I faced the Los
Angeles Lakers where we went to a 7-game series. But I am inevitable and scored the game-
winning buzzer beater to end the series off and secured my 10th and final NBA Championship of
my career. I put up ridiculous numbers on the finals and secured my 7th finals MVP and for my
scoring in the regular season, I also won my 8th league MVP.
I retired at the age of 38 years old after competing in the league for 20 consecutive years.
I never switched teams, I stayed loyal, and the General Manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers built
the team around me. The GM made sure I had all the help I needed by trading some pics and
players for my friends whom I trusted and in return, I gave him 10 NBA rings for the City of
Cleveland. I was inducted into the Hall of Fame as the undisputed Greatest of All Time. My
scoring, my championships, my achievements, and my ability to play basketball wasn’t the only
factor of me being the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). But it is my mentality of never backing
down from a challenge everyone threw at me. Hate and doubts fuel my drive to be better and I
proved all the doubters wrong after getting my 10th and last championship. Everyone wanted to
be me but nobody wants to be as hardworking and dedicated to the game of basketball as me.
And that is my story of how I became the Greatest of All time in basketball.
