Script for Gaming History

70s:
Pong is a table tennis–themed twitch arcade sports video game, featuring simple two-
dimensional graphics. It was released in November on the 29th 1972 by the American game
manufacturer Atari, one of the earliest video games, Pong became wildly popular and
helped launch the video game industry. The Inspiration of this game was that Bushnell
played a version on a PDP-1 computer in 1964 while attending college. However, Alcorn has
claimed it was in direct response to Bushnell's viewing of the Magnavox Odyssey's Tennis
game.
The player controls an in-game paddle by moving it vertically across the left or right
side of the screen. They can compete against another player controlling a second
paddle on the opposing side. Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth.
The game was available on the Magnavox Odyssey, known as the first console video
game system!

80s:
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published
by Sega for the Genesis.  The origin of Alex the Kidd was Alex Kidd in Miracle World,
1986! It was released in February on the 10th 1989 by Sega. The inspiration of Alex the Kidd
was that the most games in the Alex Kidd series differ dramatically from one another, the
sole exception being Miracle World and its direct sequel, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle.
While most games in the series were still platform-based, the only elements that tied the
series together was the name and the title character.
The player guides Alex through eleven stages by fighting and avoiding enemies and
obstacles. Alex can jump, kick, crawl or punch enemies, causing them to explode into gold
coins, called Baums. The game was available on the Sega Master System 1 and 2!

90s
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 1992 platform games developed by Sega Technical Institute (STI)
for the Sega Genesis. It follows Sonic as he attempts to stop Doctor Robotnik from stealing
the Chaos Emeralds to power his space station. Like the first Sonic the Hedgehog (1991).
The Origin of Sonic the Hedgehog was in 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog! It was released in
September on the 29th 1992 the director was Masaharu Yoshii.
The game was available on the Sega Genesis Console and the Classic Mini Console!
Sonic 2 was a major factor in keeping Sega competitive during the console wars of the
fourth generation of video game consoles in the early 1990s, and GameSpot described it as
the game that solidified Sonic as a major franchise. It boosted Genesis sales enough to
nearly equalize Sega with Nintendo and cemented Sonic as a video game mascot on par
with Nintendo's Mario.
My Games

Mario Kart: Since I was little, I loved racing games. I still play racing games like Need
for Speed, Forza Horizon 3 and 5, I also still play on the Wii to play Mario Kart or other
games. I played often against my Family! Mario Kart for the Wii was released on the 10 th
of April 2008 by Nintendo. The game was incredibly famous, and many people loved the
game! Later, many different versions of Mario Kart were released like Mario Kart Wii U
and for the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 etc.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Everyone knows who Sonic the Hedgehog is! Before I had an
XBOX 360 I used to play man different versions of Sonic. Sega has created many
different games of Sonic the Hedgehog like, Sonic Colours, Sonic Unleashed, Mario and
Sonic Olympics, Sonic and the Black Knight and Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, etc. Most of
the Sonic games for the Wii were released between 2006 and 2010. Mostly the main
missions were Defeat Dr. Eggman (Evil Boss). Even now I would play those games. As
the years pass Sonic the Hedgehog is still very popular and it is also now available for the
PlayStations and XBOX’s! They even created Movies and Series of Sonic the Hedgehog!

Just Dance: Everyone from the year 2000s knows what Just Fance is! Just Dance was a
dancing game where you had to copy the dancing person on the screen. The better you are
at dancing the more points you get. Since I loved dancing a lot, I was dancing every day
or every second day. The very first dancing game of Just Dance was released on the 17th
of November 2009. It had also 90s songs in it and was loved by many people! As the
years pass Just Dance 2, 3, 4, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and
2023 were released, it still is popular!

Call of Duty: Call of Duty is extremely popular, especially in the Esport. The CoD I used
to play was CoD Ghosts, it was released on the 5th of November 2013 developed by
Infinity Ward and published by Activision. The game was available for the PlayStaion,
XBOX and the Wii. The game a Multiplayer Shooting game, where you could play many
different games, like Free for all, Deathmatch, Infected etc. Call of Duty Ghosts even had
a Campaign, the Campaign was popular and even I played it at least 6 times. I never got
bored of it! Now Activision has published a lot of Call of Duty games like, WarZone,
Cold of War, Infinite Warfare, BlackOps (1, 2, 3, 4), Modern Warfare, etc.
Minecraft: Everyone knows what Minecraft is! It was released on the 18th of November
2011 Minecraft is an extremely popular game. Every child loves that game but also
adults. The game Minecraft is a 3D Sandbox
game that has no required goals to accomplish, allowing players a large amount of
freedom in choosing how to play the game. However, there is an achievement system,
known as "advancements ", in the Java Edition and Bedrock Edition of the game,
’trophies’’ on the PlayStation ports, and simply "achievements" on the Xbox ports. The
core gameplay revolves around picking up and placing these objects. These blocks are
arranged in a 3D grid, while players can move freely around the world. Players can
"mine" blocks and then place them elsewhere, enabling them to build things. Comparing
Minecraft back in the year 2012 and now adays, the game has changed a lot but only that
there are new mobs, new blocks, and new areas.
