■ Fighter’s Rules Update
Information about Card Restrictions
This document is in regards to the update to the Fighter’s Rules that will take effect from September 20th, 2019.
As the core basis for card restrictions is the results of official tournaments, they are revisited multiple times within
the year. And the criteria by which cards are selected for restriction are as follows:
①Reduces the variety of clans used in tournaments
②Lengthens time needed for a match to extremes
③Will greatly affect many cards that are in development
④Due to unpleasant behavior that was not intended during development, requires complex methods to handle
⑤With the criteria in mind, to keep the number of restrictions to a minimum
※Card restrictions differ according to the tournament regulation.
These criteria have been applied without change for this update of the card restrictions for the Standard
tournament regulation.
On the other hand, as Premium Standard – Clan Fight is a tournament regulation with an abundance of choice
available, even while paying heed to ⑤, we are implementing a more aggressive regulation of cards in order to
improve future events.
These updates are based on the investigation of the tournament environment for Premium Standard, and we
believe it will stimulate a positive change for the future.
※As Premium Standard – Extreme Fight is meant to be a tournament regulation without any card restrictions,
there are no changes to the list.
With that in mind, in light of the results of the tournaments to date, we will be implementing the following
changes the card regulations for Standard and Premium Standard.
Changes to Card Restrictions taking effect September 20th, 2019
★ There are no cards that have been unrestricted in the Standard or Premium Standard
regulations.

■BSF2019 Standard Results
※Clans used by less than 3% of attendees have been grouped into the “Others” category
From the overall data for Standard in BSF2019, there was a spread of clans being used, with 《Oracle Think Tank》
and 《Murakumo》 have a noticeably higher rate of players making it to the top 8.
However, after the release of V-EB05 on May 17th, 2019, there was a significant change in the clans being used.
Not only did the overall number of players using 《Bermuda Triangle》 increase, their representation within top 8
standings also had an increase. Although this is in part due to the boost from having a new 《Bermuda Triangle》
product, the variation was larger in other cases. Also, there was a corresponding reduction in the usage of other
clans.
As such, the tournament environment has moved to favor players choosing clans that can counter 《Bermuda
Triangle》, clans with the capability to retire units, in particular those with better offensive capabilities.
Based on this data, even when taking the boost from new releases in account, 《Bermuda Triangle》 is likely to
maintain a large portion of players in the top 8, it will be restricted as a clan that “reduces the variety of clans used
in tournaments”.
■BSF2019 Premium Standard Results
※Clans used by less than 3% of attendees have been grouped into the “Others” category
From the overall data for Premium Standard in BSF2019, not only are 《Gold Paladin》, 《Bermuda Triangle》,
《Nubatama》, and 《Oracle Think Tank》 the most represented clans in the whole tournament, together they make
up nearly 50% of the top 8.
Considering the proportion of players that cleared the preliminary rounds to enter the top 8 cut, the previously
mentioned 4 clans 《Gold Paladin》, 《Bermuda Triangle》, 《Nubatama》, and 《Oracle Think Tank》 have a markedly
higher conversion rate compared to the other clans. Hence, it can be concluded that these clans have a large
impact on the tournament environment.
As these 4 clans maintained their dominance even after the release of support for the Premium Standard format
in the form Premium Collection, they will be restricted as clans that “reduce the variety of clans used in
tournaments”.
■With regards to the changes to the card restrictions
As a company, we aim to create a tournament environment where many different titles and decks can flourish. On
the other hand, we also aim to minimize the number of card restrictions, in order to reduce the barrier for players
to play in tournaments.
As such, we deeply apologize to the users of the cards that have been newly restricted.
Nevertheless, we will continue in our endeavor to comprehensively develop a tournament environment with cards
that players of the various clans will enjoy, and we thank you for your kind support and understanding.
