Installing Qualcomm drivers and connecting the device while holding the reset button. 2. Making a full backup of the device partitions including modem and FSG partitions containing the IMEI. 3. Using the flash tool to read partitions and flash system, vendor, boot, and other files from a recovery file zip. Write the files instead of wiping them. 4. Tutorial for Repairing QM8888/UX999:

Make sure to double check every step and do not play with settings or try
anything desperate!
You have no TWRP or ADB, so there is no room for errors. You are warned!!!
Thanks to Jollyboy, Enes & Ronny for making this tutorial possible!
Download all files from: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=328586

Under 4 only select the correct files for your system UX999(and clones)/APM888 (Evo) EAU or NA-
Version/Carkinkit CPC200!

1. Install Qualcomm Drivers

 Push the resetbutton on UX999/QM8888 and keep pushing while connectiong the USB-Cable
to your PC. If it doesn´t load the right driver as shown in screenshot, Go to WindowsUpdate-
Optional-Drivers and install over there. The Device must be connected first for this step as
follows:
 After connecting you can release the resetbutton.
o Device must now show in DeviceManager as Qualcomm 9008 Device (otherwise
search for driver manually or delete the device in device manager and connect again
with resetbutton
2. Extract and start Miracle Thunder Flash Tool (as administrator). Disable your Antivirus first!

3. First make a FULL Backup of your device if anything goes wrong (VERY IMPORTANT are the
modem1 and 2 and also FSG partitions cause they contain your IMEI!)

Go to section „Qualcomm“.

a. Then „Read/Format“.
b. Under „Programmer“ select the firehose (try all) or don´t select the any firehose and
select „Auto Programmer“. For reading paritions you can use „Auto Programmer“
c. Select „Read Partitions“ and hit Start to check if your computer can access your box.
If box is recognized correctly you should see all paritions and select them.
d. Select „Read Flash“ and hit Start

Sometimes Magic freezes or closes itself when backuping up Userdata-Parition, because it

is around 55GB big. If this happens just repeat the backup procedure and make sure you
have enough space for the backup on your harddisk (a complete Backup is as big 64GB)!!
4. Just to be save, also make a backup of OEM even if you can´t write it back at the moment:
Select „Read OEM“ under Section „Repair“ and hit Start. This should generate a file.
5. Go to section „Qualcomm“.
o Then „Read/Format“ and „Custom Flasher“.
o Under „Programmer“ select the firehose (try both)
o Select „Read Partitions“ and hit Start
o Once partitions come up select unselect all
o select and double select the corresponding files from …RecoveryFiles.zip (system,
vendor, boot, dtbo, vbmeta)
6. Make sure WRITE (NOT WIPE) is selected and hit Start Button:

7. Under Section „Read/Format Flash“ clear you „Userdata/Cache“ to factory reset your device
to reset all apps and settings and your personal files to default. DO NOT FACTORY RESET
ANYTHING OTHER!!!
You are now completed and your device should work again normally.
After first boot, there appears a message, that you device must be activated again. This
should go away, when you are connected to internet and use your google account again.
Also use APK Installer to install the preloaded apps again!

Sometimes Magic hangs and can´t connect to your device. Just reconnect it again as in Step 1

OPTIONAL!!!!!
IMPORTANT: ONLY DO THIS IF YOU REALLY MUST!:

If you failed at reading this properly and have somehow wiped your partition table of the
device completly. Download the 6.optionalfiles on Android Filehost, but if you don´t have a
backup all your partitions this won´t help much. If you done the backup properly you should
have this file (rawprogram0.xml) in your backup directory also and it should look excactly the
same like mine if you compare them in a text-editor
