Centurion 6 GUI Update Program

INTRODUCTION:
The Aftermarket team is pleased to announce the first phase of the Centurion 6 update program.
This phase will provide customers with upgraded Operator Cab and RH Room GUIs to
accommodate the latest Centurion control software version(s) based on the Windows 10 platform.
Updates will become available in a controlled manner starting in approximately June 2023. Newer
shovels will be targeted first.

 Gain the added cybersecurity benefits inherent in the Windows 10 Operating system
 Reduce GUI-related parts obsolescence concerns.
 Prepare your shovel for the next update phases coming soon.
 "Future proof" your shovel - all future Technology solutions will require Centurion 6

Special Pricing Program


Depending on the shovel commissioning year, it may qualify for special pricing on the upgrade.
Contact your local Komatsu Distributor / Regional Office to see what savings your shovel may be
eligible for. (Note that the return of the removed parts is required to qualify.)

Prerequisites
 Centurion control system
o Contact your Komatsu Distributor / Regional Office for a review of your currently
installed version to determine if any upgrades are required.
 PM864 or later Processor (PM866 strongly recommended)

Rollout & Availability Schedule


Individual updates will be rolled out in a controlled manner consistent with inventory - with the first
sets shipping in ~June 2023 and targeted at the newest shovels.

Coming Next
Watch for additional Centurion update programs to be announced as they become available.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
1. Komatsu will contact eligible customers to discuss update program and timeline.
2. Komatsu will identify the part(s) required for the upgrade based on specific machine
configuration.
3. Work with Komatsu to schedule the installation.
4. Return removed parts to Komatsu to qualify for savings.
