Statement Of Purpose

I, Challa Pradeep Reddy, an aspiring individual to accredit myself with profound knowledge
in the field of mechanical engineering, would sincerely thank you for having given an opportunity to
me to present my academic background and my willingness to explore the MS program that not only
perhaps, substantiates my forte, but also will showcase my zeal and enthusiasm in pursuing the
advancement of engineering

It was during my upper primary education days, that I realized my zest for learning
environmental/mechanical Science and mathematics that later transpired the significance of
studying the subject to detail to build a career in this most extravagant and innovative field of
sciences including Physics and Chemistry. This was solely the reason for me to apply for these
subjects as my primary courses in my intermediate right after matriculation which I could complete
with 94% aggregate. The 2 years of my intermediate education has unveiled the subject to a greater
extent and helped me understand the fundamentals and the subject to the depth that has
meliorated my knowledge in science and mathematics which strengthened me to further pursue the
education in Mechanical engineering which then was what an aspiration for me could be described
for.

I was glad to complete my intermediate with 94% and after having passed my entrance test
into engineering, I have opted for the bachelors in Mechanical engineering in Jayamukhi institute of
technological sciences, probably the best in my local vicinity of Science and technology schools.

My undergraduate studies enlightened me with a spectrum of subjects in Mechanical

Engineering. The curriculum included Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics
of Materials, Engineering Optimisation, Refrigeration and Air- Conditioning, Finite Element
Analysis, Dynamics of Machines, Kinematics of Machines, Design of Machine Elements, Applied
Thermodynamics, Machine Design, Operational Research, Hydraulic Machinery System,
Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Machining (CAD/CAM).

Further to enhance my knowledge and abilities required I would also make a worthy teacher
due to my in-depth knowledge of various subjects and incessant deliberating and conversing skills. If
given an opportunity to teach or do research work I will never fall short of your expectations. I
believe that I possess the basic aptitude, discipline and perseverance to sustain the motivation and
drive needed for a research.

It is prudent from the fact that U.S universities are known for their magnanimity and
diversity in the form of cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles is in complete contrast to
that found in the Indian society. Having been raised in an orthodox and mid-modern family
background, I have learnt over the years, the importance of understanding the native cultural
boundaries, ethics and morals of the family system and to respect the social, communal and
religious sentiments which made me a man of thought and wisdom. These attributes and values
influenced me big time and determined me to contrive to become a good citizen and a truly
successful individual in my engineering career.
 I am prepared to face the critical but challenging path ahead of me in my higher studies. I
believe your university could be the one destination for me to accomplish my goals, as ample
opportunities exist for students like me to intimate independent study and to become involved in
active development of Mechanical Engineering both experimental and theoretical. Your graduate
program offers the most qualitative course work and research facilities with innovative and state of
the art systems at every sub-field. These factors distinguish your university from the others. In all, it
is comprehensive university that furnishes an education that will lay a concrete foundation for me to
build a career so strong and offer me a wholesome of learning's for a lifetime. I believe the programs
offered will help me acquire the versatility needed to reach my goal of being a potential Mechanical
Engineer..

Considering the exemplary academics that I would accomplish through XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

University, I'm affirmative that I can get a job in the domains of automotives/aerospace/oil &
gas/GIS Environments. As I aim to work in the before said domains as a mechanical engineer, I'm
sure that XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX university is the right place to nurture my talent and skills that will
make me a certain designer/analyst in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Persistent to the continuation of my job in specific domains with the right skill and talent
shall lead to the longevity of my career in specific domains and all this becomes uncertain if my
foundation level is not the right one or if I pursue my education at any underrated school.
Therefore I Strongly believe for the sustenance of my career and for the exponential growth in the
field that I choose to work is possible only when I acquire a Master's Degree from a university of
repute and class just like the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX University.

At the outset I could come to a conclusion after having discussed with senior folks from
Mechanical Engineering background (those who seem to have travelled to US from India on
pursuance of MS from XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX University) and after researching over the possible
amenities I discovered that if my aspiration is to settle down and go further to establish a successful
career as a Mechanical Engineer in domains like Automotive/Manufacturing/Aerospace, I need to
enrol to the Masters programme in a esteemed university and I'm sure that my choice of applying in
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX University for the Masters programme is anyway the right one.

In all honesty, I feel, I have the ability and perseverance to dedicate myself to acquire a
masters degree from your reputed university and accomplish the goals in my life that would just not
suffice my own ambitions but also make a full circle by giving a satisfaction and pride to my family. I
am hopeful, that me being a student of your university will make me a potential and efficient
mechanical engineer under the expert guidance of distinguished faculty at your university.
