EXPLANATORY NOTE

These pages are supposed to be allocated for usual narrative record of

actual internship activities but because of the suspension of OJT outside the
campus, the immediate alternative has been applied to create an intervention
activity for the time being. This decision has been supported by CHED
ADVISORIES AND ONE OF THEM IS MENTIONED IN ADVISORY` NO.7
DATED MAY 24, 2020 to quote in section A-1c: “ OJT and internship program
(foreign and local) remain suspended until Enhanced Community quarantine
(ECQ), Moderate Community Quarantine (MCQ), Moderate Enhanced
Community Quarantine (MECQ), General Community Quarantine ( GCQ) and
Moderate General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) has been lifted. However,
HEI”s in MGCQ areas, in-campus OJT and internship programs can be
authorized provided there is strict compliance with physical distancing and
other health protocols.” Unfortunately, these advisory has not been realized due to
subsequent outbreak of new virus. Consequently, the IATF failed to lift the
advisory.

With all of the above precautions, due care and diligence had been
continuously observed to carefully handle the health and safety protocol standards
for the interns without risking the completion of the internship program A.Y. 2021-

VIRTUAL PRE-ORIENTATION:
GETTING ACQUAINTED WITH THE SCHOOL
INTERN ACTIVITIES

While 2022 has been full of changes, frustrations, and problems, I am grateful for all of my educators'
ongoing advice. When I first realized that Orientation would be virtual, I was upset, but now I'm happy for the
online friendships I was able to create and even more anxious to see everyone again on campus.

The orientation on MARCH 9, 2022 was far more than I had anticipated. Following that, Mrs. Gina Jara,
our Program Director, introduces Dr. Lagunday, our Program Dean. Our Program Dean presented a brief
welcome and greetings to all attendees. Mrs. Gina Jara did a fantastic job of describing the program and the
requirements for successful completion. The possibilities for our virtual practicum were first presented to us.
The training went easily, and we followed all of the directions, which was beneficial because we learned how to
use the application and what to do if we needed assistance. Furthermore, knowing that our professors and
Program Dean are working together to make this Practicum happen gave me such a terrific sense and
successful. At that point, I knew I had made the proper decision by enrolling in this school. Following that, we
were given the opportunity to ask our questions, which were addressed one by one. The instructors ask us to
write an application letter and prepare for a possible virtual interview at the end of the orientation. Despite the
difficulty of meeting people digitally,

I am incredibly proud of my classmates for showing up and contributing. While online Orientation was
not perfect, I am grateful for the fun I had and the new relationships I established. I hope the rest of my students
enjoyed themselves.
Last March 09, 2022, the Internship Virtual Pre-Orientation Program was held with
Arts Department Head Dr. Rosemarie Lagunday, ABEnglish Program Head Gina Jara, and ABHistory Program
Head Mr. Cornelio Gosiaoco. This orientation seminar will prepare practicum interns for their roles,
responsibilities, and responsibilities during their internship deployment

GINA B. JARA

BA ENGLISH PROGRAM HEAD

DEAR MA’AM JARA,

An internship can be used as a stepping stone into a lifelong career. As you will see from my
accompanying resume, my education and passion have led me to this job, and I believe that my dedication to
the field makes me an ideal candidate for this position. I have dedicated many years of my life to this field, and
I remain passionate about pursuing a career. I studied at a school, where I was fortunate enough to be able to
establish and coordinate a society that focused on education and professional experiences in this growing field.
Many students benefited from these efforts, and the organization remains active to this day. I am eager to begin
working at any time. I am dedicated to this; my schedule is flexible and open; I would be fully committed to
this internship position.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I eagerly await the ability to discuss my
application with you in an interview setting.

Mocked Virtual Job Interview
Mock Virtual Job Interview is scheduled for today, May 20, 2022. This is one of the most
interesting methods of learning about a person's reaction to stressful situations as well as the job
itself. This practice interview was far more difficult than I had anticipated. I assumed it would
not be a big deal and that I would not be nervous when I first read the assignment. Surprisingly,
it was far more nerve-racking and intimidating than I had anticipated. Most of the questions I've
answered before, but there was one that caught me off guard. Mrs. Gina Jara, our program
director, inquired about my qualities.

I didn't know what to say because I didn't know what my strong points were. I ended up
saying that I am a quick learner and that I will be able to complete the task assigned to me with
determination and pursuit. I doubt they would have liked that answer in a real interview, but it
was the best I could do. I was nervous during the mock interview, and I left with self-doubt, as I
do in many interviews. When I stumbled during the mock interview, I felt humiliated. Otherwise,
I thought the interview went well, and I kept good eye contact and a smile throughout. I have a
very friendly personality; which I believe I was able to keep even though I stumbled a little
during the interview

This practice interview was eye-opening for me because it revealed how nervous I was. I
never imagined myself feeling awkward when speaking to a cellphone screen. Overall, it was
excellent practice, and it helped me identify areas of weakness that I could improve. I want to
keep practicing so that when the time comes, I will be confident in every future interview.
i

Mrs. Gina Jara, our ABE- Language Program Head conducting an interview during our
virtual mocked job interview last March 20, 2022.

To be honest, one of the questions she asked me threw me off a little bit. "
What are your greatest strengths, and how have they aided you as a person?" " To
be honest, I was perplexed because I had no idea what my good qualities were, and
I had no idea what to say." I ended up saying that I am a quick learner and that I
will be able to complete the task assigned to me with determination and pursuit. I
can't get past it, but it's good practice nonetheless.
Feedbacking
Interns, Intern Advisers, AB Department Head

As I sat down after my interview, I reflected on the outcome of my interview. I wish it

had turned out like I had imagined before the interview. Our instructor informed us that our
interview would be evaluated. The date was March 20, 2022, the same as the mock interview.

I lost track of time because I was so out of it. Because time moves so quickly, it was almost time
for us to provide feedback. I felt embarrassed and nervous as I imagined what comments and
feedback the instructor would give me. The feedback began minutes later. It was done virtually
through Google Meet, and all of my classmates were present and nervous as well. I felt relieved
and thank God for His guidance blissfully.

The mock interview was an amazing experience. It helped me understand what an

interview entails and the potential impact it could have. This also enables me to create a structure
and plan for making my future interviews as effective as possible.
Lesson Plan Webinar
DR. MA. SHEILA FLOJEMON
(Speaker)

One of the most difficult tasks that a teacher can face is lesson planning.
That is probably why our Program Head, along with other instructors, held a
Lesson Plan Webinar on April 20, 2022.

It was an honor and a privilege for all of us to be able to learn from one of
Bago City College's best teachers. DR. MA. SHEILA FLOJEMON did an
excellent job of teaching us how to improve our skills in creating and designing
lesson plans. I discovered that the development of an appropriate lesson plan is
critical to the success or failure of a lesson. DR. MA. SHEILA FLOJEMON
demonstrated a detailed lesson plan. She stated that we, as first-year teachers, must
create a detailed lesson plan.

I realized that lesson plans serve as a lecturer's reference in the classroom.

They outline the learning goals and objectives for a specific lesson or chapter; they
may also include the activity planned by the teacher and the supplies required to
assist students in completing that assignment. I think this webinar will greatly help
us in the future if we are going to be a teacher someday.

The rest of the webinar went smoothly, and we were given the opportunity
to ask questions. The lecturer answered all of our questions and provided us with
lesson planning advice. Ms. Jara's closing statement brought the webinar to a close.
Note: last year, dr. manoso was the speaker of Lesson planning and writing webinar but this year
We have dr. Ma. Sheila Flojemon. The webinar was postponed several times.

Note: This page is reserved for certificate of participation during the lesson plan webinar

sample.
AUDIO-VIDEO LESSON DEMONSTRATION
Ms. Jeneleyn Araneta, An early draft of the documentation for the final demo. My audio-
video demonstration CD will include the entire demonstration.

Knowing that demo teaching is one of the major requirements for our practicum. It makes me nervous
because speaking in front of a crowd is one of my weaknesses. What makes me nervous in front of a
crowd is that I am not very fluent in speaking, particularly in English. Fortunately, we are instructed to
simply film ourselves teaching our lesson as if we were teaching in front of real students.

Eventually, I decided to video myself with the assistance of a friend. Even though it was
embarrassing at first, I managed to remain calm. It was difficult for me to deliver my lesson because it
was difficult to concentrate when I could clearly hear my neighbor's arguments and their dog barking. It
was probably the most difficult part of this task for me. Pretending to teach while composing myself so as
not to be distracted by other noise. It made me realize how important it is for teachers to be focused when
delivering their lessons.

My lesson took me more than an hour to complete. Because of the noise outside my room and the
sound of the rain, there were cuts and pauses in my video. Despite all of the distractions, I was grateful
that I was able to complete my audio-video demonstration. There were times when I stuttered and my
mind blacked out, and I forgot the order of my lesson. I also found myself laughing at my own mistakes
at times. There were many other obstacles that I had to overcome while creating my audio-video
demonstration, and I am grateful for all of them. This task, I believe, will contribute significantly to the
development of my potentials and abilities. This will boost my confidence and effectiveness as a teacher
in the near future

Describe the activity of the Guidance Office Career Development Program in this page. Tell who
are the persons involved,. When was the event happened and where did the activity conducted.

What is its purpose and at the same time, how will the activity affect you as the graduating a
intern?

A SEMINAR ABOUT "CAREER PRE- EMPLOYMENT SEMINAR" WAS CONDUCTED BY

GUIDANCE ON MAY 04, 2022. WHERE IN THEY EXPLAIN HOW THE EMPLOYMENT APPLIES, HOW
TO APPLY FOR A JOB, HOW TO FILL OUT A PDS OR PERSONAL DATA SHEET, THEY EXPLAIN THE
REGULATIONS IF YOU ARE UNDER GOVERNMENT EMPLOYED, AND THEY GIVE US INSIGHTS AND
KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE WORKS IF YOU ARE UNDER GOVERNMENT.

Note: This page is reserved to a picture taken during the face to face interview with the intern
Advisers and the head of the Arts department, doc Lagunday at the Arts Office.
I didn’t experienced face to face interview because the guidance assigned it by batch which includes 10
students. We did not have a face-to-face interview since they did not have time, but the advice said that
was fine because the main thing is that we know how to fill out the PDS.

Note: for the submission of Deployment 1

Like a summary, first the intern must describe in writing the following events after every activity where
the advisers introduced them in order to cope up with the details of the event, persons involved, the
purpose of the event, when and where this event was held. Most likely, if the intern will not write
them, there is a possibility that the details will be forgotten. Eventually, she/he is most likely to describe
a wrong anecdotal record which will invalidate the whole report.

This page will narrate how the intern work hard to accomplish his/her task to submit it on the due date.
Must state when he/she submitted the anecdotal record; must also mention the place where he/she
submitted it.

In my internship period I was assigned to office of Bago City Government

Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative I was a student assistant to their office.
There was series of learning that takes place where my adviser taught me how to
sort files both hard copy and soft copies. She also taught me on the basics of
Microsoft office tools that is essential in storing data’s. The other employees in the
office also taught me their knowledge to supplement my learnings. In the office we
usually do is to clean the area first, then starting or resuming our unfinished tasks
yesterday and me assisting them in their work to make it lighter and also to finish it
on deadline.
