1. Applicability: Medical Insurance
• This policy is available for employees who are on the Synechron Payroll outside India and have valid
Indian citizenship.
• Insured member needs to have a valid PAN card, Aadhar card, and a KYC updated Indian bank account
on his/her name to process the claim under the policy. In the absence of these documents, you will not be
eligible to enroll parent in this policy.
• The policy period for the Overseas Parents Medical Insurance is March 31, 2023 till March 30, 2024.
2. Coverage Scope
• Consolidated Floater Plan for parents and In-laws, providing coverage for all four parental member
combination with complete coverage and benefits medical Insurance: Hospitalization Insurance Benefit
(PAN India)
• As an additional benefit, this policy will also cover the employee, their spouse, and children for any
hospitalization in India during the policy period.
• Enrollment to the policy can be done at the time of joining, transfer from India or at the time of annual
renewal.
• No Mid-term Additions or Deletions allowed.

5. Major Benefits
• Multiple Claims can be made up to maximum sum insured of family floater plan by an
individualmember in a family during annual program
• First 30 days, first year exclusions & other waiting periods are not applicable or waived off
• Top up option available to enhance the coverage amount
• Pre-existing diseases are covered for all members in a family as per enrollment
• Any member can be enrolled in the program without medical tests requirements
• Coverage up to 60 Days Pre & up to 90 days post hospitalization Expenses
• Up to 1% of Sum Insured Per Day for Non-ICU, or Normal Room Category and No Capping for ICU &
Similar Category (Please note that higher room rent will lead to proportionate deductions to have a detail
information, you can connect with TPA)
• Coverage up to INR 1 Lacs for Normal Delivery & for C-Section Delivery with no room rent capping
• Infertility & Surrogacy coverage included within Maternity limits
• Newborn baby coverage is from day one provided employee enroll the details within 15 days of birth
• Easy installment facility is available for family premium payment through three salary installments
• Nominal Parental Members 10% Co-Payment, applicable for all claims with admissible amount over and
above INR 75,000/-
• Income Tax Benefit applicable for insurance premium paid towards dependent Parents as
per Indian income tax act. This benefit is not applicable on premium paid for medical
coverage of In-laws.
6. Claim Procedure
• Employees enrolled in the medical policy will get the soft copies of their Mediclaim cards.
• Two modes of claim settlement are available as:
o Cashless claim: Possible during hospitalization with prior approval from Service provider.
o Reimbursement claim: Needs to be Claimed post hospitalization within 15 days,
by submitting documents.
7. Exit Procedure
• In case of resignation (voluntary resignation / termination), the medical coverage seizes
on lastworking day itself.
• If Employee leaves the company before the policy end date and if no claim is reported
against anydependents, refund is applicable on pro-rata basis
• Unsettled claims, if any, in case of resigned employees will be settled under general procedure.

9. Important General Exclusions
• Treatment Outside India
• Cosmetic or Aesthetic or Plastic Surgery Treatments (Including Circumcision)
• OPD, Dental, Eye (Except Cataract), Vaccination, Inoculation Treatments
• The cost of spectacles, contact lenses, hearing aids. Use of Non-Conventional Lens - Toric
Lens,Multifocal Lens during Cataract Surgery
• Immunotherapy, Supplementary Medications & Nutrition
• Hospitalization for Convalescence, General Debility, Intentional Self-Injury
• Hospitalization due to Use or Abuse of Any Substance, Drug or Alcohol
• Insanity or Venereal Disease or Any Sexually Transmitted Disease or Sickness.
• Hospitalization only for Evaluation, Investigation, Diagnosis, Examination without active line of treatment
• Fertility, Sub-fertility or Assisted Conception Operation or Sterilization.
• Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy
• Experimental, Unproven, Non-Conventional Treatments
• External Congenital, Genetic Disorders & Related Procedures
• Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Unani, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Osteopath,
Chiropractic,Reflexology, Aromatherapy other than Allopathic treatments
• Treatment Given by Non-Allopathic Stream of Doctors (BHMS, BAMS, BUMS etc.)
• Non-medical Expenses like - Registration / Admission Fees, Charges for Medical
Records,Cafeteria, Telephone, Service Charges, Surcharges
• Unreasonably High Charges for treatment (Usual & Reasonably Clause Applicable)
• Being under influence of drugs, alcohol, or other intoxication or hallucinogens
• Committing any breach of law of land with criminal intent. Participation in actual or attempted
felony,riot, civil commotion, crime misdemeanor.
• Medical emergencies due to participation in any kind of sport activities, such as Motor Speed
Contest, Racing, Circus, Skiing, Mountaineering, Big Game Hunting, Ballooning, Hang Gliding,
River Rafting, Winter Sports, Ice Hockey, Polo etc.
