1 Introduction
1.1 Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The Engineering and scientific research sector are apprehensive about the premise and activity of
creating structures that demonstrate the features we work within the human approach, for
example, discernment, normal language handling, critical thinking and arranging, learning and
transformation, and following up on the environment is the technology of Artificial Intelligence
(AI) (Tecuci, 2012). Artificial Intelligence is considered as a 'structure's aptitude to precisely
translate exterior data, to acquire from such data, also, to practice those studies to attain express
objectives as well as endeavors over versatile change (Haenlein & Kaplan, 2019). Artificial
Intelligence is an extremely expansive anthropological arena that has been established in and
meets with numerous spaces, all the registering disciplines, yet in addition to science, etymology,
mechanical designing, neuroscience, psychology, measurements, control hypothesis, economics
and robotics, reasoning, and many more. Several concepts and methods from these branches of
knowledge have been adopted. Its influence on civilization is also broadly deliberated. Many
claims that AI has an impact on daily life by performing routine shockingly, complex tasks
superior to persons, smoothing life easier, nonviolent, and extra productive. Others claim that AI
carries a serious danger to privacy, encourages discrimination by normalizing persons, and costs
workers their jobs, resulting in increased unemployment (The Editors of Encyclopaedia
Britannica, n.d.).
1.2 Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is a notion for assisting suitable, requested system contact to a common ground
of adjustable computing peripherals (like webs, storing, applications, servers) that can be
provided and delivered with little administrative involvement and facility provider dealings
(Mell & Grance, 2011). It has been a crucial part in the realm of Information System. The supply
of computer services like storage, servers, databases, software, networking, intelligence,
analytics, and more conducted on the Cloud (Internet) is termed as cloud working out. The cloud
provides an alternative to on-premises data centers (Bhosale, 2021 June). To variation of causes,
with cost reduction, superior output, rapidity and proficiency, enactment, and safety, cloud
computing is a prevalent selection midst personalities and establishments. The major deployment
models of cloud computing are mentioned underneath:
Figure 1.2.1: Cloud Deployment Models (Tarun Manrai, 2020)
● Public cloud: It provides many forms of server and Internet storage assistance. Third-
party companies are in control of managing and monitoring entire of the equipment,
software, and overall structure. Clients have availability to amenities through accounts
that are accessible to almost everyone (Frankenfield, 2021).
● Private cloud: It is available to certain clients only, usually a solitary company or
organization. This computing provision might be provided from the company's data
center through a private network (Frankenfield, 2021).
● Community cloud: These cloud structures share a computer environment with a small
group of organizations or representatives (Marinescu, 2017).
● Hybrid cloud: It's a hybrid of public and private cloud, as the label directs which
provides more liberty while also support in the optimization of the user's structure and
safety to the consumer (Frankenfield, 2021).
There are three main type of service model:
● Infrastructure as a service (IAAS): IAAS is a prototype for conveying anything from
working frameworks to servers and capacity as a component of an on-request
administration utilizing IP-based association. Rather than buying programming or
servers, clients can utilize a rethought, on-request administration to acquire these assets
(Frankenfield, 2021).
● Platform as a service (PAAS): PAAS is a cloud-based development podium that
provisions the whole "Software Lifecycle," permitting cloud operators to build cloud
apps and services straight on the PAAS cloud (Dillon, 2010).
● Software as a service (SAAS): It entails the provision of a software license to clients
which can be delivered on a pay-as-you-go or on-request basis (Frankenfield, 2021).
1.3 Selected Region of Research
The extent of research nominated for this report is the Implementation of AI in Grid/Cluster-
based Cloud Computing. In this research, we explore how cloud infrastructure is used to
incorporate artificial intelligence into applications using machine learning. Most cloud service
providers provide a wide range of AI services that developers can make use of in their
applications. Devices that transmit the data required by these services are associated with the
internet through which they send the data for processing, storage, and analysis (Massimo
Audrito, 2021).
AI cloud is a communal architecture for AI practice scenarios which can aid a bulky quantity of
assignments and jobs at identical times on cloud structures. The AI cloud syndicates AI hardware
and software (containing open source) to offer AI software-as-a-service on hybrid cloud
infrastructure, permitting companies to use AI and use its capabilities. Running AI algorithms
requires a substantial amount of processing power, making it prohibitive for several companies.
Nonetheless, the recent availability of AI software-as-a-service, similar to software-as-a-service
or infrastructure-as-a-service, is eliminating this barricade (Mr. D.R. Balakrishnan, 2021).
Despite a good cloud strategy, organizations are more likely to fail in converting their ideas
without a robust, agile cloud improvement process. This is something that AI can help with. As a
result, the use of AI in cloud computing will become unavoidable in order to consider the
advantages. Following are some of the benefits of using AI in cloud computing:
● The practice of AI-optimized application structure paves the path to reshaping the IT
infrastructure.
● •The use of AI in cloud computing is unavoidable when it comes to identifying useful
data. With the rise in incoming data each year, the necessity for responsive cloud
infrastructures is obvious
● Implementing AI in the cloud can help take off the liability of human struggle to evaluate
statistics for analytics, eventually becoming an economic benefit.
● The integration of artificial intelligence with cloud computing seeks to save costs by
eliminating the need for on-premises data centers.
● The use of AI in the cloud might analyze data on cloud infrastructure and find
abnormalities right away. Furthermore, AI might detect and block any irregularities. It
can assist human security teams in prioritizing their work and properly completing their
jobs.
● When it comes to making judgments, a mix of AI in the cloud can produce the greatest
results. By learning from past data and comparing current patterns in the data, AI may
help find patterns and trends in various datasets. Furthermore, AI is accountable for rapid
data processing, which may assist firms in quickly and accurately resolving client needs.
(Tech Blogger, n.d.).
Following are some of the drawbacks of using AI in cloud computing:
● While cloud computing is faster than traditional computing, there is a latency issue in the
cloud, which causes a time lag in obtaining results if connectivity is unreliable.
● Because AI systems are data-driven, they necessitate a vast amount of data, including
information on customers and vendors. Enterprises have a lot of sensitive data that
hackers might target for data breaches.
● When two technologies come together, there is constantly an assimilation struggle.
Before adding the AI layer, a firm must migrate all of its infrastructures to the cloud. For
various organizations can be a huge task (Tech Blogger, n.d.).
2 Problem Statement
Cloud computing integrated artificial intelligence (AI) is colossal supremacy and is viewed as
quite possibly the main impetus for creating the imaginative perceptive application. The breadth
and effect of AI have expanded due to its ability to transform the way data is stored and
processed across numerous regions. By all of the cloud prototypes available, AI engineers and
clients began to make an environment that works on the existence of millions. AI and cloud
computing are now frequently mixed in our lives via smart assistants like Amazon's Alexa,
Google Home, and Siri. (Mohammed, Fang, & Ramos, 2021).
AI equipment and AI software program are synched with the energy of cloud computing, which
presents an improved cost to the present cloud computing surroundings and this mixture makes
organizations efficient, strategic and insight-driven. Nonetheless, every client/small
business/enterprise that procedures data on the cloud faces an intrinsic risk, since subcontracted
facilities avoid the client's "physical, logical, and faculty controls." While loading data in the
cloud, it is essential to verify that the data is stored correctly and that it can be recovered later.
Since the amount of data uploaded on the cloud could be huge, it is unreasonable (and perhaps
costly) to attempt to regain all of it if the motive is only to confirm that it is kept appropriately
which makes necessary to provide such credentials to a customer (Sriram & Medisetty , 2008).
Additionally, utilizing wide scope of AI applications e.g., driverless vehicles, smart homing, and
so forth standardizes the quality of life. Yet, cloud computing is grieved from capability
confinements and is tested by computationally lavish AI applications. In the AI based cloud
climate, there is an absence of security technologies and security insurance systems explicitly
intended for AI applications worked with by the cloud computing paradigm. AI applications are
dependent upon an assortment of security extortions, like information security exposure,
adversarial assaults, confidential attacks, and so forth. This topical series means to request top-
notch commitments that offer and examine late advances and future patterns of safety and
protection issues for artificial intelligence in cloud computing.

5 Research Methodology
This study was carried out by taking into account primary and secondary data. Key data is based
on analysis by researchers who are students themselves and have used different backgrounds to
study, at the university level, or to develop certain professional skills. Primary data is based on
the interview articles, student research journals. Secondary data is gathered from previously
obtained information. Articles, periodicals, research reports, webpages, blogs, media, journals,
and other similar sources are used to compile this information. These data samples are organized,
gathered, and investigated to get a rational study result. Surprisingly, secondary data is
frequently based on main research data. Qualitative and quantitative data gathering methods are
the two primary areas of secondary research. Figures and diagrams are used in quantitative
research. It's applied to place hypotheses and norms to the investigation to certify them. This
method of study may be employed to originate with generalizable details on a matter. Qualitative
research, then again, is conveyed in words. It's applied to grasp concepts, opinions, and practices.
Such a procedure of study lets for gaining an in-depth understanding of issues that are not
usually recognized (Raimo Streefkerk, 2019).
