1. Introduction
The objective of the MCA project work is to develop quality software solution.
During the development of the project, you should involve in all the stages of
the software development life cycle like requirements engineering, systems
analysis, systems design, software development, testing strategies and
documentation with an overall emphasis on the development of reliable
software systems. The primary emphasis of the project work is to understand
and gain the knowledge of the principles of software engineering practices, so
as to participate and manage a large software engineering projects in future.
The course titled “Project Work” has 24 credits. The purpose of including
project work in the MCA Programme is to provide learners with an opportunity
to investigate a computer applications problem in a scientific manner. It
enables learners to apply conceptual knowledge in a practical situation and to
learn the science and technology for conducting a study in a systematic way
and presenting its findings in the form of a report. The learners are encouraged
to involve themselves completely in the project work starting from the project
synopsis in the 3rd semester and the project report in the 4th (Final) semester.
The topic selected for the project should be appropriate to justify the MCA
project. The project should be genuine and original work of the learner and
should not be copied from anywhere else.
