Powers 1 - 5

The Avatar, as Baba has declared, shares the possession of the 5 senses
with the world of animals and human beings.

Powers 6 - 9

He shares with mankind the 4 attributes of mind, reason, emotion and


Ahamkara or ego.

Powers 10 - 13

But the Avatar possesses 7 characteristics which are unique.


Four of these can enumerated as follows :

Srshit - the power to create


Sthithi - the power to foster, guard and protect
Laya - the power to destroy (remove from creation and remove creation)
Thirodhana - the power to makes things disappear

The 3 remaining attributes are such that only a full fledged


(Purna) Avatar has them.

Power 14

Anugraha – Grace which may be of two kinds :-


 Grace for the deserving
 Grace conferred regardless of the recipient deserving it, like
a bolt from the blue.

Power 15

He is ever-present where his Nama or Name is uttered and …

Power 16

…. where his Rupa or Form is recognised.
